I don't like watching a boring game where the most exciting thing that happens is the catcher adjusting his jock. So, no.

Also, if you're going to insult people, you might consider using whole words, and not replacing you with u. The fact that you don't have an imagination, can't suspend your disbelief, and don't like the series isn't sufficient cause for you to come into a thread about a show you don't like in order to insult the people here.

Let me know if any of that is too complex for you to comprehend. In the mean time, why not go and watch cars turning left, or people throwing a ball around for a few hours?

That and baseball is so boring that just completely failed to last into the future and according to Deep Space Nine not only did baseball fail to gain enough of an audience to survive, the game died while the greatest player who ever played was playing. What does that tell you about a sport, that it can fail while the greatest player ever is currently playing?

I don't understand Nascar. Do they get extra points for winning the best mustache contest? Why don't targets pop up on the track to smash through? How many points do you get for seriously injuring or even killing an opponent when you ram them into the wall? How did an extra from Days of Thunder outrace the real drivers in his shitty movie car and why did they make him back off and take 5th place?

Because everyone assumed he was using PEDs probably ;P What is kind of funny is when DS9 1st came out in the early 90s, Baseball was actually in a really tough spot. The players strike had killed a ton of interest and fan disinterest was at an all time low. It took stuff like the Cal Ripkin Jr continuous game streak, Sosa/Macguire homerun battle, and Barry Bonds stuff to reignite interest ultimately. Although ironically, 2 of those things I just mentioned that brought fans back have now driven some away due to PED reveals ;P

Besides, you'd figure they'd LOVE Baseball in the Star Trek universe because out of any sport, it is probably the most math friendly. I seem to recall some TNG episode where some brilliant mathematician used to reward himself by playing simulated baseball games in his mind by using the various stats/percentages of players/teams.

u done got trolled dumar is a bigger star trek nerd than all of us combined. you know he's a real trekkie too since he hates the new movies. Or maybe dumar has recognized that socialism and EQ are dead and he is trying to fit into this new Twilight, Jaden Smith, Taylor Swift, Syler-as-Spock world.

The biggest issue I have with it is that the game issupposed to be about local heroes. When we got the Marlins and they were winning I was blown away, I finally started to watch the game (I was born in Chicago, so I didn't bother watching baseball) and then we won and it was a completely different team the next season so I said "Fuck it" and gave up on professional sports.

A League of Their Own it the shit as are Major Leauge 1 and 3, otherwise that sport can go ahead and die already or just go ahead and embrace steroids and eugenics as part of the game.

A recent story on Cracked is very similar to one of the best episodes of Deep Space 9, the details don't match up exactly of course but the cover instantly made me think of the episode.

They went ahead and published the comic anyway -- it was the last one the company ever published, but we're pretty sure it was worth it."

TNG season 5 bluray RIPs are out and ships from amazon tomorrow, 2 more seasons and its all done! The blurays are glorious, watched 2 episodes this week to wash the shitty taste of Sons of Anarchy and Homeland (well last night was good) out of my mind. Its freaky as fuck though how Patrick Stewart looks as good today as he did nearly 20 years ago, but if any human being deserves to be the Highlander its him.

season 5 btw has one of the best episodes ever made in scifi, The Inner Light, and also Unification - the Spock arc
