Saw preview for this again (during walking dead), haven't been following it too much... but am I the only one annoyed at the Spock-Uhura romance? I can take most of the other changes in this whole reboot thing, but that one really annoys me for some reason.

Spock's father was full Vulcan and married a Human. Now that was logical.

Spock is half human and having a hard time controlling his human side. Not too far of a stretch to see him falling for a human.

I don't either but everyone is bothered by what seems like the smallest things sometimes. Of all things to be upset about int he new franchise this is by far the weirdest and smallest I've seen.

I don't care about Spock and Uhura, but the reason why some people do care is that Spock in TOS had Nurse Chapel chasing his dick, and Scotty and Uhura were sort of a thing for a little while.

Either way, shipping is dumb.

I love how every god damn sci fi trailer this year for like 10 movies has that whole Bwoooooong , blllllaaaaaaaaaaaa , thing going on in the background. It is like the trumpets of the coming of Jesus or some shit.
Also the dude we cannot see in this latest trailer has the same lines as Bane in the last Batman.

Should be a good watch, I love me some sci-fi but really, it seems recycled from shit we have seen in the past year.

Ding, ding, ding! The only difference is that it has a Star Trek wrapper instead of a Batman wrapper. Or a G.I. Joe wrapper. Or lots of other movies where there's a horrific terrorist attack that leads up to an attempt of a much worse terrorist attack that the protagonist must stop at any cost.

Looks like it'll be three attacks though. London, Starfleet Command (San Francisco), and Earth will probably be the final target, cause it always is.
