I grew up with star wars. It was something that i ate, read, watched and slept. I am a HUGE star wars nerd. I am VERY hesitant about ep 7 for no other reason than the prequel trilogy. It hurt. Clone wars was good, but it was clearly aimed at a younger audience than myself. I'm okay with that, but it did hinder my overall enjoyment. Avengers on the other hand, is aimed squarely at me and I've enjoyed every second of the MCU immensely. I CANNOT wait for ultron.

I get it bros, Lucas touched you in the bad place. We were all there, and he just wouldn't stop raping our childhoods. We all saw it. But he is gone now, Disney (without whom there would be no Avengers movies...) generally does shit correct. I have no doubt that the producers involved and Abrams understand the weight of this movie and what it means. I remember hearing that Abrams hated the prequels, as well.

It is ok to trust again, bros. It is ok to believe in something.

Disney has already done Star Wars right. Guardians of the Galaxy; it has essentially proven space action and adventure movies are not dead, and in fact, everyone still loves them. It really shows how badly Lucas fucked up if a no name Comic can be made into a better Star Wars than the prequels.

Sure, everyone here totally gets those points. But it doesn't translate (IMO) into more anticipation for SW7 than Avengers 2. Avengers/Marvel are SO FUCKING PROVEN, whereas SW7 will be a huge come-back baby, if it is any good. And if it is, fucking great, I'll be ecstatic. But until the night I watch it in the theater, I couldn't fucking care less.


Yes, I used "couldn't care less" correctly. For all intensive purposes, at least.

You avenger fans be smoking crack. Everyone knows what we we are going to get with the next Avengers film. There will be no surprises there . Star Wars on the other has a new director and a fresh team and outlook behind it. Everyone's extremely curious to see what JJ and consequently Disney can do with the SW universe. It is really only for this reason that it is the most anticipated in my opinion.

How old are you? You seriously don't seem to grasp the reach that Star Wars has. Fucking people in there 60's and 70's can't wait for the new Star Wars. Nobody is fucking saying about anything the quality of either movie. This is simply demographics and numbers.

Finally! At least you are admitting that YOU are anticipating Ultron more than Star Wars. That does not translate to therefore Ultron is the most anticipated movie of the year. Not by a long shot. You mentioned that the Average person is anticipating Avengers more. You have to be on crack to really believe that, and if you really can't fathom that idea, you have to step out of your bubble that all your thoughts fit within the average person way of thinking... fucking idiot.

I expect them both to be great movies. I expect I will enjoy SW more, I'm just kind of super-heroed out after the past decade or so. That is not to say that Marvel isn't killing it, so is Whedon, but when we're getting down to Ant Man and Black Panther opening a movie I just kind of start rolling my eyes.
