There were multiple Star Destroyers chasing the Falcon as it left for Alderaan. In ANH we only saw one Star Destroyer and the Death Star. I'm guessing there will be a massive fleet guarding whatever planet Snoke is on.
I don't mean the significance of millions of lives being lost (aside from everyone having a good cry about it, I'm not sure what more they could've done there. The people watching from different worlds seemed to be looking on in genuine disbelief). I mean the significance of the Republic Senate being on that planet and most of their fleet. Hux does allude to it, but in a way it was kind of lost in his Hitler-esque fervor. I'm not sure anyone I saw it with realized what had just happenedThat's because Carrie Fisher's wooden face can't show emotion, and we didn't have Obi-Wan to become weakened by the force tremor of millions of voices crying out in terror. All they needed was Maz, force sensitive or not, to fall to her hands and knees and say, "Five worlds. 40 billion lives. Gone in an istant. Boy, (to Finn) you were right. The First Order is too powerful... but they must be stopped."
Other way around. 3 SD's as they were leaving Tatooine, the TIEs come later.Huh? Is there footage of that or is it just implied because of all the TIE fighters? I don't remember any star destroyers chasing them as they left Tattoine.
My bad, you're right there were 3. One giving chase, then Han says two more. There were multiple Star Destroyers chasing the Falcon as it left for Alderaan.
Ya this 100x. I kinda feel like they either cut too much or banked a bit too much on add-on movies and series filling us in later on. Could be 10 years from now we watch that seen with the shock we are meant to feel after watching 3 fill in movies that deal more heavily with characters that were on those planets and explain more about the situation, but for a first effort and reintroduction into the series it fell kinda flat on the 'strong-feels-attrocity' index.I don't mean the significance of millions of lives being lost (aside from everyone having a good cry about it, I'm not sure what more they could've done there. At least 2Huh? Is there footage of that or is it just implied because of all the TIE fighters? I don't remember any star destroyers chasing them as they left Tattoine.
She had intel that Jar Jar was on it. Thankfully he was actually on Aldeeran and all was made right by Tarkin. Why did Liea hate Dantooine?
I thought so too. I had no issues with her at all, including her appearance. She's a 60 year old lady, for fucks sakeOn second watch, I don't agree with the issues people have with Leia's acting. i thought she was fine, a grizzled old commander type. And her acting was similar to her acting from the first trilogy. Nothing stuck out to me as necessarily "wooden" other than, you know, the obvious movement issues with the sides of her face due to plastic surgery. I even saw her forehead wrinkle, I wonder if that was cgi.
