I plan to drink this whole thing in like a well crafted cocktail. Sooner than you know it we will be in a new SW movie every near future for the next 6 years or more. I'm already "gotta see that at some point, as work allows" on Ant Man, even though it looks solid. SW has been my life, it was the first movie I ever saw in a theatre. Empire was the first movie that my parents (and my neighbor best friend's parents) said "fuck it, let them wait in line for 3 hours to see it by themselves" and we just drew tie fighters and x-wings in our sketch pads the whole time. I don't want to squander this second opportunity to be a kid one bit.
p.s. probably blocking out ep 1-3, but I'm fairly sure I had doubts about ep1 at this point in the lead up

Have a group of friends already designating time off for this release. The first movie will set all kinds of records for box office sales. The effects look incredible as do the sets. My only concern is that the new characters are as interesting as the old ones were. The chemistry between the old ones was part of the success and needs to continue with the new ones. If that happens, Disney could start a new theme Park and call it "Star Wars Universe" and just print money.

The hype is very real and should make for some fun times on opening day.

I think they could kill it with that theme park before a new movie was ever announced.

It seems like I read somewhere that, although JJ is not directing episodes 8 and 9, that he was signed on to be like the executive producer of both along with Kasden.
