Rogue One was like looking at a beige wall with beige paintings on it.

TFA was promising, one huge problem was Death Star 3.0 (booooooring) but the rest was fine
The other 2 "movies"...... Just fucking kill mickey please
Haven't seen Solo and the last Skywalker or whatever, and probably never will

Finally watched this movie tonight, since it was free. I very much now understand why people were clowning on this shit. Nothing to say further that hasn't already been said, but damn.

Also liked (lolz) at the end where they tacked in that Lando spinoff egg. Though to be fair, the black chick in her few scenes was far more charismatic than Rey ever was. Even if, as my fiance said, her sole job was to act surprised at all times.

At least Rogue One was Star Warsy. Another few editing passes on the script and it would have been a solid flick. Solo was...fucking dumb. I only saw it once. I'll never watch the last 3 films ever again.

My kids, big OT and Prequel Trilogy fans, can't be assed to put the new movies on at all. For the record, I don't hate the Force Awakens but its a "soft reboot"/shot-for shot remake with lots of poor choices and wasted opportunity, in hindsight, particular after the Last Jedi, which can DIAF. ROS I have kind of soured on; its overstuffed mediocre Abrams fare that should have never been made into its current state. It's PJ's third Hobbit movie. You can't make up for have turd in the middle of the sandwich by having great(well, you know) stuff on either side. They spent the middle movie in the trilogy attempting to deconstruct the entire mythos and then having two normal movies around it, with the third having to rush to make up for the 2nd killing off most of the plot threads by being overfilled with McGuffins and newly introduced SUPER!PLOT! to distract from the lack of any real depth. It's a better done Krull that killed most of the established characters you loved, except the dog.

Adam Driver was both the only great actor and sadly the only good character in these movies. Everyone else just comes across as one note or caricature.

The whole "May the 4th" thing, never the best "fanoliday", is more like a dirge this year. What can they do with the IP now? Will they replace KK and back away from "Get woke go broke?" Start a new Trilogy set in the Old/High Republic, isn't that the plan? At some point companies will realize that the Twitteratti are just the Fake Greek Chorus of Modern Society, not the audience. Trying to replace your core audience of "fifty-somethings" with hip "new" fans just means more meetings with Uncle Bob and underperforming films.

I admit to watching it again as I have Disney+. Mandalorian is a bonus but mainly for the huge marvel cartoon nostalgia hit.

Despite skipping past all the shit parts to anything remotely resembling action I found it truly fucking awful. I won't be watching any of the last three movies again unless, as with the Prequels, I accidentally switch to a channel that is playing one.

Kids hate the movies, and the 0 sales of Star Wars toys proves it.

There's no hope for the IP outside of Clone Wars and the Mandalorian. Get Woke Go Broke? They made piles of cash on these movies, which will reinforce their shit agendas and ideas.

I don't know about that. Galaxy's Edge was sucking at the parks even before COVID; the toys, which made more money than the movies (7b vs. 4b) haven't sold a damn thing, and TLJ and ROS made Far, Far away less money than they were hoping for; it hasn't lost money but it didn't make very much in actual profit, either. I am not talking B.O. Grosses, I am talking Profit. Solo was an outright bomb. The last numbers I heard was that Disney still hasn't recouped their $4b investment in Star Wars, vs. Marvel, which is killing it in the profit dept.

I have to wonder what George Lucas thinks of the whole situation. He must be massively regretting selling his baby to Disney, I'm fairly sure he didn't need the cash but whatever continuity of his vision he may have been promised it didn't take long for them to utterly destroy it.

I dont see how they dont let KKK go. No matter how much of the fuck ups are her direct involvement, the fact that the franchise tanked under her leadership should be enough grounds not to renew her contract.

I quit that shit cold turkey after the disaster the second movie was. Never going back. And that's probably my most liked childhood franchise. Never again disney, never again.

Thing is, even if they fire her worthless ass she's still managed to amass a net worth of around $150mil while forever tainting our childhood memories.

I have so many friends who will never watch or support Stat wars as long as KK is there but I know they will go running back if her and her gender mafia get thrown out. Also how long will the outrage really last, these professional victim types have such short attention spans they will be all sexism, mah force is female for about 10 min till something more interesting pops up.

Planning on watching this shit show known as RoTS tonight with the family. I have not seen it yet which means it is only the second Star Wars movie I did not see in the theater, the other being Episode IV. The reason I did not see IV in the theater is because I was not even one when it released. However, I did see the re-release in the theater so... 🤷‍♂️

I am going into it expecting it to be the biggest piece of shit ever made, so I figure it can only go up from there. My kids will probably like it and I can find some joy in that.
