Eh maybe Rogue One wasn't a good movie. I don't know. But expectations and previous impressions affect a movie going experience and Rogue One is the only actual fucking Star Wars movie we've gotten since Empire.

I liked Rogue One. Maybe my opinion is affected by previous installments, but fuck... I'm only human.

They really should have moved some of the Marvel talent over to the Star Wars franchise. At least Kevin Feige knows how to make a competent movie and develop characters.

Y’all just can’t recognize cinematic genius when you see it. This film and its immediate predecessors are for the new generation of hip women that watch the View, not basement incel white males that still clutch their original 1979 plastic Chewbacca figurines. Get over it fragile males, the force is female!

Most likely I see star war taking a ten year break after one are two spin offs are made after last of current trilogy.

Didn't solo cost about twice what it should have because they filmed it twice? And then no one went and saw it cause they spent a year talking about how shitty everything was?

How exactly would the entire Republic not know who Luke Skywalker was? Killed of Vader and the Emperor, legendary hero of the Rebellion and the Last known Jedi? Twin brother to the Princess of Alderan.

I think it's more sign of a big corporation that is completely out of touch and forcing stuff from their marketing departement to the story. It's so one sided, obvious and phony that you can almost hear how many mindless meetings their corporate blue collars made just to do this. It's not that they don't trust their creation, they probably have their business plan up and running for this before a scenario line is even written. Porg 2.0, new saber, new dolls, probably a new side kick with a weird spaceship, etc. At this point the movie is an afterthought.
