Yeah I watched some of this the other day. He says ES6 is going to be built on Starfield with some upgrades. Nasty guy. Bethesda is finished.

Complete trash. At least I can stop following ES6 development.

While in a perfect universe, Bethesda would put out quality games that did not need to rely on modders to fix broken things. But since we don't I'd rather have Bethesda put out a decentish game that has good modding and huge potential and then let the modders take it from there, as with Skyrim and such. However, when even Bethesda can't be arsed to work on a mediocre level and shaft the modders so they don't bother with a game, that's a problem for me. I bought Starfield but fortunately had the foresight to return it before the time ran out on Steam. I don't expect to re-buy it again, unless something drastic happens and modders can turn this turd into a polished gem. But i'm not holding my breath. As for ES6... yeah, I'll be playing Daggerfall and Morowind before that I think.

Lol. Perfect.. and it kind of describes my experience.

Liked the game and felt like I got my money's worth. Although it definitely didn't have the immersive feel of their other games. The quests and characters were very tame. But I really enjoyed stealing ships and then building them. Spent most of my time doing that. Never did finish the main quest.

I think the fact that they are spending so much time on the expansion is a good sign that they are listening, want to improve the game, and are putting a lot of effort towards that goal. Otherwise they would have released it by now like they originally intended.

I do hope they manage to figure it out, I prefer space games over the standard fantasy / apocalypse garbage we are usually force fed.

Think it comes out end of summer. I put my second playthrough on hold til then, or might just fire up my old save when I jumped to NG+.

Looks like there's quite a bit of nice mods still coming out, and despite not having screwed with them, now that the kit is out, maybe by then some other stuff will be available, too.

It's just a fun game to me. Yeah, gets a bit repetitive but enjoyed most of the faction quests, and I'm hoping the expansion really rounds things out. There's just something about the game that clicked with me.

There was no bigger supporter of Starfield than me. I was so excited to play it, and even with all it's...eccentricities, I liked but not loved it. When I hit the narrative wall and realized that in order to make NG+ easy for them, they basically killed their own story and universe, it broke me. Bethesda is living off its past name and greatness. If this were a new company from a different region without a history of beloved classic games, we would throw them on the woodpile and have a Bonfire of Poorly Designed Bugfests. Now, maybe they have some asset streaming tech they are going to put into the Creation engine, and the nature of travel in Elder Scrolls makes it less susceptible to Loadapallooza than Starfield but Bethesda long ago past into the Realm of "I'll Believe it when I see it".

No lightsabers and ability to do iconic Jedi movies makes getting "Jedi" or "Sith" powers as a non-jedi/sith seems silly. While the work to replace all the skins with SW skins is impressive, the biggest problem is that the base gameplay of the game is mediocre and it especially doesn't seem to fit that well with making it into a good SW game.

Decent video talking about Shattered Space DLC. Think it comes out next week. I didn't watch the whole thing because it started talking about the story with a little too much spoilery stuff.

There is no way im giving this game anymore money. For the shit they promised vs the shit game they gave us, like at least 2 DLC for this should be free so they save some face.

It sounds like it's super story focused which was hardly a strength point for the original game. Also seems to mean that maybe the various game systems aren't necessarily getting much of an uplift in anyway.

The first loading screen I encounter would make me quit the game again.

There's no way to redeem this shit engine/game.

Yep. The DLC or expansions or whatever should be highly focused on fixing the base game for free, with optional content added you can pay for.
