No problem.
I figured you can watch those, then come back to us for more based upon those results. They either fall in with your request, or are worth watching.
Certain ones I didn't mention that others did, were due to not knowing your interests. Knights of Sidonia is great, but the animation and harem stuff can turn people off. Aldnoah Zero had a great 1st season, but the 2nd season that continues the story pretty much pukes all over the series. Mirai Nikki and Deadman Wonderland are pretty good shows except...whiney ass protagonists.
Another is a good show, not sure how you are with horror though.
Fennin mentions Kara no Kyoukai, which is good. Its tied somewhat to Tsukihime.
You have quite a bit on your plate for now, so get back to us when you need more.
Quite a lot indeed ! Thanks again.
I started with Darker than Black (first one I could get my hands on) as well as Knights of Sidonia (you got my attention when you said "it's great, but the animation can turn people off", so I watched a few episodes right away. I do like that style !)
As for my interests/tastes in anime, I was quite vague indeed, sorry about that. Two of my all time favorite would be Samurai Champloo and Shigurui (the anime, not the manga), which are not sci fi at all as you'll notice
. Fav movies : GITS / Akira / Jinroh / Paprika
I really liked Kurozuka (both for the design and story) and Mugen no Juunin. On the opposite, I have been told several times that Kenshin is supposedly very good, but I really can't stand the drawing / looks of the characters.
I loved the ending of Berzerk (for the story, graphics wise it I am not super fan) when all hell breaks loose and it felt like the writers were either drunk, or really high, or both ; as well as the ending of Evangelion (I do like wtf endings)
Other anime that I like : Gantz, Elfen Leid
Manga that I wish there was an anime of : Front Mission: Dog Life & Dog Style ; and Vagabond (up until he becomes a boring rice farmer)
Sword of the stranger, I saw and loved it
Black Lagoon I had already seen, and liked a lot
Attack on Titan I had already seen also. I liked the fact that they didn't mind killing most of the characters, but I am not too found of the setting at all (the kind of 19th-century-almost-steampunk-ish universe).
tldr? : violent stuff, graphics that don't look like they are straight out of the 90's, with scenarios open to interpretation, and where the main protagonists are adults rather than whiny teenagers
