I love Spencer as a player. He is really good at Survivor. But, he is also a 23 year old kid. Spencer did a great job of holding back his angst, inexperience, and superiority complex all season... but it did finally come out at the final 4 tribal. He freaked the fuck out and actually thought he might be going home. His natural reaction was to FIGHT. "Cass, 0% chance of winning Survivor" and "If you vote out me, Kelly wins the game" were absolutely 100% true statements, but they are also self serving, mean spirited, and unnecessary. Spencer, as smart as he is, really acted like a spoiled and entitled brat there for a moment. Give your other competitors some credit, they know whats up and how it will play out without you making a show of it all.

It would have taken an all time great Final Tribal speech to sway the jury off of Jeremy. I don't care how great a game he played, the jury was filled with Fathers and Mothers twice his age. You are not just voting for who played the best game, you are voting for who you want to have $1m.

The most curious thing to me, was how little Tasha played or seemed to care. You go back through the season and it is like she had an off-show pact with Jeremy to get him to the end and win it. She was a great wingman and never seemed to play the game for herself. Feels like some under the table money might be coming her way.

Now that you mention it, Tasha to Jeremy was like S13, Becky to Yul.

Tasha even potentially saved them w/ the female alliance heads up.

Great season, a lot of good blind sides, and some new stuff infused into the game so that it wasn't stale, including the hidden idols. Grats to Jeremy he did play a complete game, Spencer screwed up in the end and Tasha might as well not been there.

The only thing that annoyed me was the family sympathy speech, I get it it's important and you're playing for your family, I just don't like it because guess what everyone is there for family we just don't hear them crying about it. I hope this does not develop into a trend where people start using the family card at the final tribal, I want to hear about why you think you should win, not why you came on survivor.

Also why did they take out the final speech, that seems like such a handicap because you have to rely on the jury to ask the right questions and unfortunately most of the time the jury doesn't, or they might go up and address 1 contestant like Kass did with Spencer, or in extreme cases, pick a number.... great. Then again we probably would have been subjected to 5 mins of Jeremy crying over family.

A great season anyways.

Next season... did they get a ratings boost with the Joe incident and suddenly think it's a good idea to injure all their contestants now?

Surprised they are using Caleb from Big Brother for next season. He was saying racist shit during his stint on Big Brother.

Probably the best season of Survivor. With the top 4, it was the first time where they were all deserving. Much better than normal where one is worthless and the other meh, with a clear standout player.

Double idol was amazing.

Anyone else find it strange they didn't do fan favorite? I guess they were all kind of fan favorites. Feel like Joe got screwed out of 100k though.

Also, I bet someone finally gets bitten by a venomous snake.

Doesn't fan favorite depend on if a sponsor wants to do it? usually it's Sprint right? isn't Sprint like no more? ha.

He got caught up a little in some of the racist stuff that went down his season but not that much compared to a couple of the other idiots. He's actually funny as fuck to watch as a character. Dumb ass fucken ex-marine (or army?) hick who thinks he's god's gift and has black belt level karate skills. I'm pretty excited for next season.

Oh and fuck wigglesworth with that pick a number shit - pretty much the only thing worse then the normal bitter jury antics

Ppl seem to like this season, imo the jury was a fail and bore, nothing happened, no good questions. Did Tasha not think she was the goat compared to these 2? I mean you literally saw Spencer fight for his life from the merge, until he was able to take out fishback and cement that alliance.

The 3 witches actually surprised me, even tho Ciera is probably one of the most dog shit competitors (physically) out there (just recently re-watched BvW, omg she's terrible), she's able to worm her way pretty far up there.

You'd think Kelley was the sweet farm girl, naw she was almost scrapping from day 1.

Anyone predict a 3rd chance?

I mean obviously Joe is gonna get a 3rd chance, right? he's just too well liked.

If i had to pick 4 standouts for a 3rd chance from here i'd do
Joe
Keith (even tho i know he's been interviewed, hes done with survivor)
Kelley
Cierra

I would definitely watch Kelley and Cierra again. Even Abbi if she did sort of a redemption story, but if it's just going to be "ooh she's so crazy and hot headed" again I'd pass on that. I'll be surprised if Spencer doesn't play again and I would be fine with that as well. Joe will definitely be on again but it won't be a draw for me, I think outside of his challenge domination he is a pretty poor player although his charisma gets him further than his game play really deserves.

you know Joe is only to draw in those tweenie girls.

atm rewatching Panama w/ the wife, she's seeing how dog crazy Shane is, and i'm re-marveling at how Cirie was at social.

I thought it was hilarious that her jury question was every bit as boring as her entire stint on the season.

Maybe he couldn't count on Abi, but I feel like Spencer may have made a million dollar mistake by siding with Tasha, Kimmi, and Jeremy.

He would have a cakewalk win against everybody in his final 4, except maybe Wentworth. Now, he's siding with Jeremy and Tasha. I just think his odds are a lot worse now.
I knew it. He gave away the game by trying to coast with Tasha/Jeremy. It just confirms how overrated the dude is.

Jeremy was definitely a deserving winner. His play on Cierra won him the game. Anybody who thought that idol play on Steven was useless is wrong. Had he not made that move, Cierra would've been able to rope in the numbers to oust him, I have no doubt.

I think Spencer's decision to go with Jeremy and Tasha is a credit to Jeremy more than anything. Earlier in the game, after one of the merges, Spencer was on his journey of, "I'm becoming a real boy and making relationships". He and Jeremy connected and started hanging out together.

Here is the thing though... Jeremy must have done a good enough job with that friendship, that he actually convinced Spencer they could and would go to the end together. I think Spencer was actually enamored with Jeremy. So, at the end of the game, when the right move was to vote out Jeremy, Spencer just couldn't do it. He chose the trust and friendship with Jeremy, when it was obvious that keeping Abi in the game was the right decision.

I give Jeremy the credit for that, as well as his two huge idol plays. Those 3 things, along with his final challenge win were enough to win him the game.

I'm wondering if the thing that "has never happened in 31 seasons of Survivor" will be that none of the votes will count. Thinking Jer and Wentworth both use their idols.
Called that. Just got around to watching the finale. Definitely one of the best seasons ever. I thought Spencer should have won and was really miffed that he got 0 votes, but Jer was my second choice, so that doesn't tarnish the season for me.

I would love to see coach wade, philip shepard, or tony back on the show. I think philip is my all time favorite character followed by wade then tony.

Remember when they had the family reward and Coach had some random dude he "trained" with as his family member. They did some yoga stretching together. That shit was hilarious.

Thou shalt not invoke the name of Phillip Shepard, without using his full and earned title, Special Agent - Phillip Shepard. I could really go for a buffoonery season soon. Retards, Rejects, and Retreads.

But really, what I would love, it's an all former Professional Athlete season. I'm sure there would be plenty of men to choose from, then you get ladies like Abby Wambach, former olympians, WNBA players, etc. It could work and it could be awesome.

Obviously there was a lot we didn't see, but I wonder if Tasha's speech to him about how it would be wrong to take a couple of goats to the finale in a season full of gamers had any influence on his decision.
