Who didn't like being 5/5 Rakata with a weapon first raid day? But yeah, those NiM Soa balls sucked dick originally.
I never found a lack of things to do at launch, if you PvP'ed a little and did some of the flashpoints. We were the 2nd guild to kill SoA on our server and I had the first piece of Rakata and I never felt there was a lack of things to do. SoA fight being a buggy piece of shit drove many folks away which was perfectly reasonable.

That being said I was looking for a game that i could do two nights of raiding a week and pvp in the off time so Swtor was perfect for me, I can see folks that wanted to raid almost every night being turned off

I thought the Sith Warrior was one of the better stories, although somewhat predictable, and playing it totally dark side was the way to go I think.

The Inquisitor has a lot of up and downs, class is more fun though and I played it as light side and it made for a decent story and made sense for the most part too.

I am playing a Jedi Consular now with a friend who is playing a Jedi Knight. So after we're done with these I will have seen all the stories...from my own characters for Jedi Consular, Smuggler, Trooper, Sith Warrior, Sith Inquisitor and Bounty Hunter...and as a spectator for the Jedi Knight and Imperial Agent having grouped the entire time with my friend.

Finished JC...the ending wasn't terrible, but overall didn't care for the story. BH still takes my all time shittiest story award.

Commando (dark side) was fun, doing Inquisitor now and enjoying it a lot.

I've only finished JK, SW, SC, and BH, but easily SW is the best I've run through. And like was mentioned earlier, it really feels like the darkside world quests were tailor made to fit the Sith Warrior mentality.

Have seen all the stories through expect Smuggler, although I've watched quite a bit of it playing with a friend. Imperial Agent was far and away the best with Sith Warrior in 2nd ahead of all the rest. JK gets a nod for being exciting at least, definitely feels like the story they wrote as being "the hero" story for the player.

I'm finding that all of the classes have extremely broken buggy stuff going on once you get around 45 to 50. I seem to spend the entire time I play this game pissed off.

Can you elaborate? I haven't noticed anything particularly bad lately. I played an Imp. Agent to 50 in the first few months of the original launch and 45 to 50 was rough, but then again the entire game was pretty fucked compared to now.

The list is long. Alot of problems with doors, scripted sequences, and enemies that chase forever. And double spawning waves. I was doing the hunter stuff and it decided it would be peachy to throw 5 regulars and 2 bosses at me in one wave, probably because I was stuck behind the door where they are supposed to spawn.

I ran and they chased me through this entire ship, full of friendly stuff to me, all of which is blasting away at it. Created this huge pile of path-confused stuff all blasting in 100 directions, was hilarious. I eventually went down, and revived nearby with the stealthy medic probe thing and as soon as I spawn one of the bosses flies over and nails me, ignoring the stealth. When I did eventually beat that mess, the script froze me in the ... stage forever.

I get to the final boss of a certain planet and I can't target it. I ran around for a bit and spammed ae stuff but yea didn't work. When I eventually did get to fight it, it would do fun stuff like an area stun. I'd stun it before hand, my stun wouldn't work, his would, but it would burn MY cooldown.

Had an entire instance get sort of frozen in time. Dramatic music is playing but nobody is fighting and everyone is marked friendly.

Seems like the difficulty of the last few quests sort of assumes you are bringing a friend. I have to have top gear and the right companion and lots of luck to take on multiple bosses, and they seem to throw them around like candy. If they are going to spring that crap on you the mobs shouldn't chase forever. And not being able to use an elevator or other item because you are "in combat" is really stupid.

The most annoying thing of all out of everything is traveling to objectives. If you ever go towards something as the crow flies, inevitably it is at the top of a cliff. A cliff with one entrance, 30 miles back in the other direction through hordes of annoying trash. Or on corellia you get to fight or fly through annoying tunnels trying to figure out which actually leads to the map icon.

I remember being extremely annoyed at something when I was doing the knight stuff, but I can't remember what it was.

I would definitely doubt that and say that you experienced a rare bug. Unless you were still wearing level 30 gear or something (which is a thing if you skip dungeons/aren't a paying sub) the level 45+ stuff should be a joke. I did SW as a sub and the other three as a freemium, and it was basically the same. Also: are you gearing up your companions? Because the healer bots gets -way- OP super quick if you keep them somewhat in line with your level. I didn't do it with my SW, probably because I was using Malavai and I was a Jugg, so I took shit for damage and his shit healing was more than plenty. But for the other guys, I had to make sure that I geared my companion to some degree to keep up with inflated damage levels.

Anyway, your situation looks like a shitty bug that hit you that I haven't seen yet, and in your case it sucks that it required you to do all sorts of stupid gymnastics to overcome it. Normally that fight should be a joke, most of the time. I did the entire BH shit solo and Mako was more than up to the task.

Gear was a problem. I had taken a new set of 41 modifications when I hit 40 (oops, couldn't use any of it), had passed some down to blizz and had a few dropped greens. I'm not really very good at hunter. I don't like the class, don't like the way it plays, and it doesn't map well to my usual set of instinctive hotkeys.

The story was cool though, which was all I was there for. What would have been great is to hit 50 just before starting all the super boss heavy stuff on corellia. I barely had enough funny-money to buy my set of welfare epics, but once I got them it was easy street.

I'll probably do trooper next. I <3 Jennifer Hale

Yeah are you F2P or a subscriber? Cuz with the 12x boost you should be over 50 and drowning in basic commendations by the time you get to the last string of 45-50 missions.

If you're F2P then it's a pretty shitty time.

^^ F2P is horrid, yes. He shouldn't be having these issues right now as a sub for gear level. I have comms coming out of my keester. Also, can run flashpoints to gear up as well for orange items. It seemed last week people were needing for anything and everything for their companions too. What's the proper etiquette on this these days? It used to be I would need for my character only, and if I picked something up on greed it was for a companion.

If you choose 12 comms per quest with full orange and upgrade mods every 5-10 levels, you still end up with nearly 1k comms by the time you finish the 12x exp at the end of makeb. Even after buying all the ziost gear i still had over 600 comms. the new vendors sell gear that is BOP but the mods are still BOE, so I just use that first lvl 60 i made after the 12x to buy all the upgrades for the next alt while that alt chooses the companion gear upgrades whenever available instead of the 12 comms.

Just started playing through the story missions as a Sub. Im starting to struggle and am under geared. How is being a sub suppose to help gearing? Not quite sure how to stay geared with skipping so many quests and just doing story missions.

As Sylas said above, when you choose your quest reward, always take comms or look at some of the vendor sold orange gear. You may also want to run a few flashpoints early on and get orange gear that way and you can just upgrade via comm mods every 10 levels or so early on (Since those levels go by so fast)

Which class are you playing?

What's an easy source of credits at 60? I have biochem/analysis/diplomacy but not really using it because the results seem to sell for less than the mission cost. Is there just a set of dailies or a farm that gives good cash per hour? I haven't been paying attention.

I'm bleeding credits thanks to augments. Funny enough, once you add an augment slot to an item, its actually cheaper to rip out the mods from any upgrade you get and transfer them. With the new transmog stuff, there's no reason to care. (set bonuses transfer via the armoring)

I finished Ravagers but our Revan raid ran out of steam because apparently people join raids when they can only play for 30 minutes. It was relaxing and stress-free - story mode is somewhere between lfr and normal in difficulty. (not much mechanics but you do have you obey them)

The annoyance now is having a 186 mainhand and 198 OH.

I actually took my JK to 60 to do some tanking, the rest I'll probably stop at 55.

And yet another stupid game that has an anti-idle kick even when you are in queue. Derp? I'm getting through some PSN+ games this way.

If you're looking for easy then spend an hour running Ilum/BlackHole dailies. That's north of 100k after payouts and selling equipment.

Something not quite as boring (depending on your point of view) is to run the lvl50 HM Flashpoints. Look up what each drops as far as Decorations go, find one that isn't being sold heavily on your server, and run it. My goto is Battle of Ilum. That crystal decoration can go between 75-100k on Ebon Hawk and it takes about twenty minutes to get.

I was short on gear because I'm restarting a bunch of midlevels. I've got like 9 characters but had only maxed out 3 or 4. And mostly had done low level warzones on them.

Speaking of them, is there even any point to them now? With the level and gear disparity, I had 2 matches in a row where our only goal for the entire team was to kill one 57 operative. I think we got her down to half once.

People have been clamoring for some adjustments to the brackets because of stuff like that. Given how little they've put toward PvP since the expansion I doubt they ever will.
