and of course i spoke too soon. while the jedi story feels hand crafted like the sith warrior as I explained above, the jedi knight is a moron. I guess it's roleplaying or something, but fuck is it annoying playing a character so dumb. This is obviously a trap, why aren't any of my dialogue options "uh, this is fucking stupid, why would i do that?". Oh look the bad guy pretended to be a wounded good guy, and kidnapped the scientist. My automatic voice over response was "I won't fall for that again". And the very next fight, look it's a bad guy pretending to be a wounded good guy. CLEARLY THATS THE BAD GUY. She just fucking assassinated your quest giver right i front of you? why the fuck did you let her walk away? Ohhh what a twist! she was the bad guy? needed your jedi master to explain it to you barney style cus the jedi knight was busy eating lead paint chips or something.
You shoulda played Jedi Knight as a dark side toon. Of course it's even worse then. Every single new character and plan you encounter you basically call out as a trap and you don't trust it. And 90% of the time you're right, but people still call you an asshole for not trusting everyone.

Started up a Jedi Consular... reminds me of the BH story (kinda lame so far)...cant believe how fast I'm leveling. Hit 35 in one session.

I went dark on my jedi, not too dark just Dark 1 (cus good is dumb, and also just wanted the the appearance, just dark enough to look cool with glowy eyes and such but not look like a pale veiny weirdo).

but dark 1 was enough for that satelle bitch to call me out in the middle of the ceremony celebrating me, idk, killing the goddamn emperor. stupid slut. game still gave me the title even though she denied me.

Raids that chug along at 10-15 fps and occasionally teleport you backwards in time into the bad that you dodged by 5 miles. They really make you appreciate wow. (which can be said for raiding in every other MMO too)

It seems story mode isn't dumb enough for the overwhelming majority of the players. Just like its heroic flashpoints that give you an enrage timer so tight that most people quit as soon as they see the name come up. I've only gotten past it once. Why make shit like that?

Funny enough, attempting to pug is much worse than it was a year or so ago yet the content is actually easier overall. I've had one success at Colossal Monolith, and its as basic of a "don't-stand-in-fire" fight as you can get. The difficulty is the fucking game engine more than anything else.

Maybe I could try for a weekend warrior guild but atm like most I'm just playing alts anyway so idgaf.

So for those who have played both, which story would you recommend - sith warrior or inquisitor? Does Khem Val ever actually get to eat someone?

I always liked light side inquisitor, with a dash of neutral/evil just to make things chaotic sometimes. Plus, your character got laid a lot more ;p

Inq story has a really boring mid-end plot, and frankly I thought it sucked. But the class is very powerful, and I had a lot more fun playing the Inq than a warrior. Sith Warrior however has a much, much better story, but also a very predictable story.

edit: Unlike Cyb, I have never once found any reason to make light side Sith characters, even my damn bounty hunter and Agent is a prick. My Agent never joined the Sith Lord at the end of Act 1 or 2, so I guess I did play one Sith slightly light side. Also if you have your races unlocked, it's always fun to play characters the way you want. I was surprised my Chiss Sith warrior had extra dialogue options (nothing major) in some of the quests. As does pureblood sith (my Inq), and many others I assume.

Inq story is decent, has some funny parts. I liked it better than most.I thought the warrior was one of the weaker ones, i think my fave is still the JK

Inq needed a better third act, it didn't have enough impact that the better classes do. Also there was the odd missing plot when you choose the dark side "piss off" option at end of Alderaan that pops up later on Voss. Light side Warrior had some interesting story interactions but light side Jaesa is utterly boring, they really should have done better with that.

Three years on and the story transition from Chapter One to Chapter Two, the encompassing four or five cutscenes before they send you off to Taris, still pisses me off. It's so broken and inconsistent I feel like it was never actually tested.

Who didn't like being 5/5 Rakata with a weapon first raid day? But yeah, those NiM Soa balls sucked dick originally.

Imo warrior is still the best story, with knight a close second. And yeah they are both just vader/luke stories.

Inquisitor is about as weak as consular. Trooper is the only class i did ls, it just made more sense

Yeah it certainly didn't take very long to get full Rakata. Even companions got geared up. Wasn't as bad with the next tier of raids. Only had a few pieces of campaign gear after the first couple of weeks, with a couple pieces of black hole stuff to fill gaps.
