Ha! Thanks man. Two things happened. Turning 40, and getting married.Utnayan, you throw me for a loop sir. When I first started reading your posts on the old FOH boards, I kind of hated you. A little to much fire and zeal for my tastes then I guess. But, I'll be damned if you haven't grown on me sir. Maybes it's seeing you actually pay a game a deserved compliment, I don't know, but you've grown on me..... Or this forum has crushed my soul. Meh.
Playing a Sent as well.Maybe it's because I play a Kinetic Shadow, but this is one of the first games where I've legitimately enjoyed queuing for pvp matches. Nothing will beat old school open world EQ2 pvp for me though. That was my pvp cherry and I wish I'd gotten introduced to it back in EQ1, even if it would have been past it's glory days.
And is it just me or does Sentinel just faceroll good dps? I'm only 26 on mine and everytime I queue for pvp, I rape faces. No idea what the hell I'm doing, but I'm doing it well apparently.
Don't use Noxxic, they are inaccurate and out of date. Dulfy's site has decent enough level 55 guides (updated for 2.7 patch, not sure about 2.8) which you can at least get an idea of what all the abilities are and spec trees:Once I make a more permanent switch to Sent I'll hop over to noxxic or something and get a run down on a rotation etc. Just finished my Consular's Chapter 3, so I'll be jonesing for some class story soon.
Pre 55 the majority of players are awful. If you know how to play your class/build, and put a little bit of focus on your gear, you will absolutely destroy everyone in PvP. It doesn't matter what class you play. It's really a lot of fun. My Sage was like a raid boss in BGs.. I was a little sad when I dinged 55 and got brought back down to earth..And is it just me or does Sentinel just faceroll good dps? I'm only 26 on mine and everytime I queue for pvp, I rape faces. yeah. For fun I have a BH and Sorc that I never quest or xp with, just pvp. Can't use them during double xp weekends/weeks either. They make me feel godlike. Pretty much every single class drastically changes at 55.Pre 55 the majority of players are awful. I really wanted to love SWTOR. I loved the leveling, some of the BGs were pretty fuckin cool, and even the instances were halfway interesting. I totally dug the flight missions too. At the end of the day though, it was mostly unplayable. Their ability delay, whatever you want to call it, was the most irritating thing I've ever dealt with in an MMO. More than any other game I've played, I thought SWTOR was as close as it was going to get to achieving WoW numbers. Shit just wasn't polished enough. Or even close to it, really.Watch Mojo is usually right on for me but this seems a little off. I post here because if you like SWTOR, they ranked it surprisingly high in my opinion.
You are almost successful in making me try PvP now. Almost. Last time I PvP'ed was in arena during WotLK.yeah. For fun I have a BH and Sorc that I never quest or xp with, just pvp. You may want to give it another shot since it is free now anyway. You will be preferred, and the ability delay is gone for the most part. I have not experienced any. Especially if you like the class stories. That's really all I am playing right now, with an occasional flashpoint. Also, thanks for that duffy link. I adjusted my rotation while leveling, and now that I have my healer companion I am dishing out some major damage. I was doing it all wrong before, even in the wrong form.I really wanted to love SWTOR. I loved the leveling, some of the BGs were pretty fuckin cool, and even the instances were halfway interesting. Operatives pretty solid for PvP, they are at their best when they are healing. I do expect to see a gaggle of lethality operatives soon, they said they would be tweaking that tree because it is the least played in the game, its actually pretty solid even it is current form. As long as you can pull around 800dps and about 1300hps you are doing a decent job in a wzYou are almost successful in making me try PvP now. Almost. Last time I PvP'ed was in arena during WotLK.
Is Agent (Operative) good in PvP? Consider me an average player.
I didn't even have overload saber on my hotbar. (Ouch). So now instead of hitting random buttons in Shii-Cho form, I am actually now overloading, Master Striking, Cauterizing, and Force Jump and Zealous Strikes for focus. With Doc behind me I am now ripping things apart. Which is so much more fun than what I was doing before which was hammering focus builds and then master strike and slash! (I really suck)Yeah Illum is quite alive and General chat is something to behold. Random rage quit suicide note-esque, I'm logging out messages are lulz. With the Gree event going, on my server, Imp Guilds have roving gank trains, and tactical camps on all the hot spots. It is funny to me, on my server you don't see that from the republic side, maybe some slapdash on the spot "hey lets make a group so we can survive more than 5 sec and get our daily done", but there were 2 guilds on Imp side last night just locking that shit down for the lulz I guess. Another reason Shadow is fun, I just stealthed through everything, and would wait to charge the pylons for the one pvp daily, till the gank horde was distracted by a group. Was a lot of fun, a little frustrating, and worth the qq'ing in general chat alone.
Yeah, I checked out Dulfy and adjusted myself on my Sent. He's not high enough yet for a real rotation, but I've got priority down at least, and I melt faces even more now. Gonna be sad when I hit 55 and have to really get good at PVP to keep doing it. A few of the maps are so much fun and I even enjoy huttball. Actually I think I like huttball the best sometimes, everyones focused actually playing, I'm just an agent of chaos here to force leap in and fuck peoples days up.
