Yea this season is not doing it for me. Jasper is a loonfuck, Clarke and Lexa need to just elope. Bellamy has done a 180 personality-wise, and the sky crew people let a turdburglar become Chancellor because of reasons.
The only plot that was even remotely interesting was the AI chick and brainwashed BlackJesus, so I'll still watch it to see how that goes, but the "main" plotline looks like screenwriters let their children write their scripts while they bathed in money.

Yeah this season is a mess. I think they want us to believe that sky crew is butt hurt over being left at the mountain, and then again when they lost people from there including Bellamy's girlfriend (who he has never shown to give two thoughts about). The problem here is they're not actually showing the connecting lines of why Bellamy and sky crew are doing a 180 to put Pike in charge. Pike's has only been in camp for what a week and they already want him instead?

Meanwhile Clarke and Abi and Marcus have kept them out of trouble as much as possible. Now sky crew is just being ungrateful in voting in a gun toting idiot who had not been around to see the sacrifices that have already been done to keep them alive, if he did maybe he would think twice about just running out to kill 300 people. At this point the main characters need to just join Lexa's grounders and let the rest of sky crew burn for their stupidity. After all the shit that Bellamy has been through with grounders and with Clarke it's just not believable he would just do a 180 and support Pike.

Don't think they know what to do with Jasper, which at this point they should just kill him off and be done with it, he should have been dead from the spear in the chest in the first season anyways. Also Jasper loses his girl he goes loony for months, Bellamy loses his girlfriend and probably doesn't even remember he had one lol.

My earlier comment joking aside, I loved the 1st season, even the crappy first episodes. Call me easy to entertain on those but it got super good at the end. I don't know if it is due to things going on in my life or if I am just crazy but I have watched most episodes twice so far this season and I have no idea what is going on half the time. It just seems to jump all over with poorly written dialogue and I can't keep my attention centered on it enough to even care.

They've just written themselves into a corner with the Sky Crew. There is, fundamentally, a low number of Sky Crew and there is no way to create more of them organically without doing something stupid. While you CAN organically say there are tons more grounders at any given point. Adding 11 clans to Lexa's original clan we saw last season is completely believable in the context of the show.

They also wrote themselves into a corner about the advantages available to Sky Crew. We KNOW their tech isn't crazy advanced like City of Light and they don't have any other Old World tech other than a small arsenal of firearms. Mount Weather is destroyed and they only had that one missile anyway. All of which mean nothing in the face of millions of grounders.

Who are now going to be pissed off and there is no plausible way to explain why 300 members of the coalition were killed and nobody is paying for it in blood. Especially these upstart Sky Crew losers who are "part of the Coalition" but can't even keep their house in order. Not to mention Finn was killed for significantly less, and even Lexa just fought to the fucking death for her position. Earlier she threw a dude out of a window for disrespecting her and executed the entire Ice Nation diplomat group for being murderous assholes.

Yep, Grounder nation is all about peace now bitches. Blood for blood is gone. Deal with it.

Well they could continue to add to sky crew with the other crashed survivors showing up like Pike's group, or other bunker areas like Mt Weather, but enough of them plus tech to keep grounders off them through fear? probably not. Not sure where black jesus storyline is going yet, maybe that's what they will use to get sky crew in order again and grounders off of them since holo jesus probably has access to weapons still.

Yeah I'm really not liking the whole Pike storyline. I'm hopeful that he is only here for the end result of making Clarke murderize him in front of all the tribes to balance the scales. I don't want peace-loving Lexa, I want murder a bitch Lexa, throwing Clarke down and ravaging her...wait, that's the porn version in my head. Anyway, yeah I'm not sure where they go from here unless it involves integrating them more fully into the grounders, which might actually be kind of shitty and boring when you think about it. One of the main reasons it is interesting is because they aren't grounders, have some tech, occasionally wash dirt off, etc.

So I guess I need Sky Crew to stay separate, but this Pike doing stupid bullshit stuff isn't the way I want it to happen. I'm just not sure how they keep them apart and still make it interesting (and not terrible). I guess that's why I don't write TV shows!

The guns came from the space station (i think?) and an old bunker the kids found, and Mt. Weather. I'm 99.99999% sure no one wasted fuel/space on sending a hummer to an orbital space station.

First season started out a bit slow and without much actual high-stakes action, but then it picked up and was a fast, but healthy pace and shit that happened really mattered. Now the pace is as fast but shit doesn't matter because they haven't taken the time to build up to earning the payoffs they're looking for. Hopefully they start building some shit up slower and more meaningfully instead of just thinking random action/death/explosion is enough to keep the show interesting. They've still got me so far, but my patience is waning.

I wish this seasons started focusing less on who is dying, and more how people are living, to create tensions. Have Sky Crew moving into Mt Weather should have been a point of prolonged tensions, not just the reason for the death of a bunch of red shirts.

I agree. I figured grounders were going to be pissed about it for a while then the doctor would setup a hospital for all people including grounders to gain their trust. Some grounders would hate it. Some would start to like them etc. They could have done a lot with it instead of shove people we don't know in it then blow it up to make people mad

...I just, I can't even. What the fuck is going on with this shit?

Pike and Co get the message that blood will not lead to blood from Lexa. So the interpretation is that they can kill indiscriminately? For land to farm on rather than just asking the Grounders (who survive in the millions) how they are able to thrive. They can't possibly think that Grounder Nation will just take that forever. That writing is just so bad. Pike needs to die and that storyline just needs to end for fuck's sake. The longer it goes on the more dumb it is to have Clark's begging superpowers save Sky Crew from being scourged from the Earth.

I think they're probably trying to make a commentary on Manifest Destiny and the ignorance/displacement of native populations, etc. But it's not really ringing true with the characters they're trying to force into that story line. Quality is suffering. The two hottest chicks not even making out. Bleh.

Sadly the writing has gone down hill this season, if we dont see some major characters killed off like Belamy, Pike etc. then I really have no idea what they are trying to do. So they would have us believe that its ok to kill 300 grounders? God forbid they kill off the people who did it? Hopefully this is a setup for something awesome.

Personally, I'm just assuming they're scissoring a lot off camera. Like when clarke was drawing the commander, it looked like they both had an after sex glow.

Almost done with season 2, the "grounder" language just makes me chuckle to outright laugh sometimes. "Break em ow" translates to "Set him free"

From the Wiki:
Jus drein jus daun!
Translation: "Blood must have blood!"
Octavia: Ge smak daun, gyon op nodotaim.
Translation: "Get knocked down, get back up."

Daun means down and blood? I know it is hard to make up a language but this shit is hilarious at times.

Also the greasers leg was paralyzed and with the leg brace she was gimpy as fuck for like 2 whole episodes now she is walking on it like it is just fine, could have spent the 10 seconds on her being happy she can feel her leg again instead of just ignoring it because the plot demands it.

Overall some really good episodes but so many little things just scream terrible terrible show.

The grounder language is kinda more phonetic based than word based. It's just really strong slang. Since blood and jus appear twice, I would assume jus (juice?)=blood.

Her leg was hard to use because it hurt to walk, her injury was spinal. The magic pill blocks the pain centers in the brain. She can walk fine now, but she's probably causing serious damage to herself in the process.

I'm not going to defend the shitty writing on the show but ya Raes is right here on the leg pain/spinal thing. Some people have never experienced it so they cannot comprehend it but pain can 100% prevent functioning and just the removal of pain will allow you to function, until you really fuck yourself up bad. 100% why people have pain to begin with, to prevent additional injury.
