Well, it is more prevalent in our culture Kuriin. 5 minutes in any club in Castro or WeHo can tell you that.
Supposedly, the most 'agreed supposedly' theory about homosexuality is that it happens in the womb, some parts of the brain are developed differently during the expression of the sexual genes (meaning, everybody is female physically in conception, then at a few weeks you start differentiating, like, womens ovaries and men testicles all come from the same place, that's why your 'balls drop'). During this process the brain can be 'parts' female and parts 'male', it's still a human brain, but the expression in the womb was not regular. This means that in the case for example of transgenders the brain can be 'female' while being in a male body. The female brain refuses the male body. In other cases it affects your sexual 'physical' desires, so you are gay because that part of your brain was codified like that.
Anyways, I'm a little bit high, so bear with me.
Now, in the case of the lisp / mannerisms, certain locomotive and speech can be affected by this 'gender-womb-morphism' and have the mannerisms and lisp. Mind you, you can pick up mannerisms and a lisp (say if you move to south for 5 years you are going to start 'y'all'-ing everybody) but it has an expression connection definitely.

Lol, in terms of over the top lisp like Mr Bondage (or whatever lol) from South Park is definitely a gay thing. I think deep voices vs feminine voices is a nature thing, but lisp tend to be nurture. As Obtentor mentioned, you move somewhere and you start imitating.
I view the lisp as learned advertisement of sexual preference. The high pitched voices, lisps, and affectations don't necessarily mean bottoms, but they often go hand in hand. Then again, it could just be their perception of what being gay means and how they identify with that segment of culture. You'll see people playing and experimenting with gayisms as they figure out their place and what they like or think is effective.

I known several queeny flaming guys who are in relationship with very straight acting dudes... and the queenies are the tops and the burly dudes are bottoms (for those of you who aren't familiar, the TOP is the penis insertive and the bottom is the receptive). I always laugh because I find it odd.
Oh, and strangely, when I drink I get straight. I start hitting on women. I did live in south america for 26 years and was in the closet for most of that time, so needed to get some 'pussy' and drinking was the way. My husband says that we could save some money on IVF and shit, just a bottle of tequila and go to town.

That lisp shit is pure nurture. It is generally an affectation. It is sometimes adopted as a "gay accent".
Now a "feminine" sounding voice... listen to Mike Tyson. I'm pretty sure he's not gay. Not even a little bit gay. That's largely influenced by secondary sex hormones (and Tyson has probably done a bunch of weird fucking steroids during his life)... so maybe there's some possible process going on to make it more prevalent but it can't be on an order that any one person would even notice during the normal course of their life. You'd have to study tens of thousands to even tease it out. That's my assumption at least.

One of my good friends from HS came out after college, after dating a string of women hotter than I ever dated (damn him!). Other than dressing better, I've noticed little change in his speech or mannerisms. He's exclusively pursued relationships with men since coming out. But sometimes after a night of hard drinking, he'll take home a woman.
So those of you who have girlfriends/wives that go out drinking with their gay dude pal... there's something to chew on.

Oh shit, i didn't think it would get any worse than the gayness being a genetic defect thing. Now it's a 'not enough oxygen' type thing (or whatever the cause is going to be). That is the most recent credible theory that I've heard of. After fertilization I forget exactly when they happen, they do happen in specific time bands during development, but the developing cell mass is subjected to a complex interaction of hormonal "baths" as the uterus realizes that it's got a baby in it and gears up. I think there are three major ones? And you're talking over a period of the initial weeks, no more than that. Generally before a woman is even aware that she's pregnant.
So anyway, the theory is that basic sexuality comes out of that process... and maybe 2-5% of the time the process is mismatched in some way. Which is pretty damn good if you think about it, especially considering that sexual orientation doesn't stop anyone from breeding. Surprising that more of us aren't gay.
Since a gay "gene" is an obvious overly simplistic notion... that idea is as good an explanation as any. And probably, even if incomplete, has some relation to what is actually happening on a physiological level.
It also means you can't "fix" it without an artificial womb. And if we have one of those... the root cause of homosexuality is the least of our social or scientific concerns.

Well, there are many cases of twins where one is gay and the other one isn't and their DNA is the same. Also, when asked 'when did you know?' the answer is always going to be 'I've always known' so the theory of happening in the womb is very plausible.
Hence why I didn't 'come out' until I left that home and country.
You troll and whatever, but, my sister (15) came out as lesbian and my parents found some crooked ass shrink (in his 70's) to push her on some pills to make her 'straight' (this is south america after all) and she ended up committing suicide.
