Here’s a shot of pre-catwoman Selina Kyle. She becomes Catwoman during the story. She was a hooker I’m pretty sure. Looks half-black in a lot of the book but some shot look white. That’s where they also yanked the short hair design from. Think she does some wig shit in this too. Book has a fantastic scene where Batman crashes a party of Gotham’s corrupt elite and tells them their time is up. Some of the scenes with Batman leaping around after talking to Gordon prior to having his batsuit was inspired by this book. Here he gets stabbed and considers letting himself bleed out. Bruce Wayne is fucking nuts here and, if I remember correctly, pretty fucking violent. Been about 10 years since I last read it though, so I might be conflating it with other stories.

Also, Nolen did multiple villains each time but he did it in a world building way that was seamless for the most part. If they do it that way, I do not give two fucks that Riddler, Penguin, Catwoman, and Falcone are in this. I know Nolan’s part 3 gets lambasted, and it is the weaker of the Bale trilogy, but goddamn go watch Batman Forever or Batman and Robin. The Dark Knight Rises is the goddamn Godfather compared to that shit.

how many villains did Nolan stuff in DKR? Scarecrow, Bane, Catwoman and Ras Alghul's daughter? Joker would have been in there too if he hadnt of died. thats a lot of stuff to pack in and it suffered for it. they should never do more than 2 main villains in a film. even 2 main villains is severely stretching it. every great movie has just 1 main villain.

Yeah. By and large, more villains makes for a far worse movies. I’d argue the various Batman movies have pulled it off better than most, particularly Nolan’s trilogy.

Begins - Ra’s al Ghul, Scarecrow, Falcone
TDK - Joker, Maroni, Two Face
TDKR - Talia al Ghul, Bane, Catwoman

You could debate mobsters as villains, but they did play central roles in Batman comic stories often. It’s all about how you weave them together. You don’t have to do some stupid villain team-up.

I have no plans to pay money to see this. I’m not as much concerned with the black washing Gordon and Catwoman. I don’t know jack agout Jeffrey Wright’s politics and the chick playing Catwoman looks like a plastic surgery victim but also passes for a ghetto half-white trash gone supervillain that is Catwoman’s depiction in a lot of comic versions. I’m way more concerned with the subversion that is alluded to around Bruce Wayne’s father. My guess is we’re gonna get some evil white man story where they subvert Thomas Wayne and by extension subvert Batman’s entire reason for being. Some ultimate goal is going to be some self-hating white liberal man superhero going to bat for what I expect will be a mostly minority innocent poor population that’s been abused by Thomas Wayne’s and Gotham’s elites’ white supremacy. I bet Penguin and Thomas Wayne end up old boarding school pals.

Zoe screen presence is small screen stuff. She's not a silver screen presence. She brings the "television" vibe.

We (me and a lot of workers with Mat Reeves) caught Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz having sex on the Batmobile prop. It's probably one of the worse things I've ever saw in my career now, Matt was so furious he interrupted them. And that's not all, Zoe took a pregnancy test and she is pregnant and everyone believes it's Pattinson's, since October Robert and Zoe started dating in secret, we know about it as we saw them together after work. She recently divorced her husband tho. I'm purely disgusted bu their act, both her and Pattinson. All I know is he that Reeves is so furious he might not do The Batman 2 and 3 as he planned and let someone else direct. He literally told Pattinson, 'You are the most entitled narcissistic actor I've ever worked with, you go back to work, we finish filming in March and then we are done. I don't want to ever work with you after this film.' He even said he refuses to do reshoots if they will be needed. I don't know what they are gonna do but they try to keep this situation on leash before the media will make it official.

Seemed like an extreme reaction, "disgusted" and "furious", until I remembered, it's Hollywood! Nothing more disgusting than two consenting adults having heterosexual intercourse. Can only assume the crew didn't fly into a murderous rage since it was at least interracial.
