I feel exactly the same way. I feel the PS sticks are too close together and feel very unnatural to hold where as the xbox fits into my hand perfectly.

The product sheet pdf for it and "Whats in the box" stuff on Amazon do not list it, however the pictures do show it on the stand so I am not sure if it does or not.
I personally would never use it. I always have my stuff in a proper entertainment center, plus I just do not trust a vertical disc player (especially after all the reports of vertical X360s eating discs).
On the plus side, according to reports, the PS4 controller's sticks are further apart and feel a lot better than the PS3's do. So that's something to look forward to. Everyone is saying that the PS4 controller fits in your hand much better, so hopefully the stick placement won't be as big of a deal with the changes.
I'm just going to buy a 3rd party controller that clones the xbox controller. Problem solved.

Same with my primary system spot - where we'd eventually have our second (the wife's TV/PS3 setup area - since there's nothing she wants early on PS4 we'll wait a year or whatever for hers) however is friendly to a vertical stand - don't use it right now since the Slim Vertical stands aren't for sale anymore and the superslim is mine since she hates the manual tray.
Well, even then may not actually - do have hardwood there too, and at least flat it poses a slight difficulty to cats "playing".... Hardwood is so attractive but as a gamer I so wish I could ignore home value and just carpet the whole damn place.... heh ><
[Her spot is an old school entertainment center cabinet versus the modern we've got for my TV - since it was designed for old school tube TVs it's deeper than it is wide for horizontal placement - fits but with the old amplifier and everything it's moderately tight]
What's the problem with a hardwood floor for gaming? I don't have my console on the floor anymore, but I used to. That floor even had under floor heating, and I never experienced any issues.

Was talking to my Dad on the phone today, and he's pretty plugged in to the investing world about 58 and about to retire. Not super super techincal but because he had three sons who all liked video games he stayed on top of each generation. After we caught up on work and family stuff he was like, "so what about this Don Mattrick guy?" and I just laughed. We spent about the next 40 minutes talking about how bad Microsoft had screwed everything up.

There's 2 things I don't like about hard wood floors, but they might be better overall.
1.) I don't like echos, and not having carpet really allows/causes sound to bounce around more easily.
2.) My wife and I walk around the house barefoot. We don't allow shoes inside. Having a cold floor is not a good feeling all the time.

On both points, absolutely accurate amongst other reasons I wish I could bring myself to replace them - unfortunately there's so much baggage to changing them, knowing I'd reduce home value, knowing that my mother will be annoying about it when she visits for ruining "her" home, etc. (We bought my high school home from my parents when they went into the retirement community)
[Also slipperiness is an issue for me as well, since my health problems include relatively unresponsive legs - so one slight bit of slip turns into a fall on it - which carpet would be far less likely to slip and padded for when I would... I already know my obituary will be related...]

Seems pretty obvious branching into the TV on demand bit like speculated in the article - after all they've already got the other aspects of "TV" covered with their film buy/rent deal.
Only other possibility is them going head to head with XBoxOne on the "enhanced TV" bullshit - but I'd put odds of that as remote.

So my peeps all decided to stick with XB1 since they went back on their bs DRM - a few of us are still getting both, but its pretty surprising how adamant they are about sticking with XBL. Then again considering all of the real co-op/MP titles are cross platform its fine since i was getting titanfall on XB1 anyways.
They may be cross platform, but I still highly doubt there will be any titles implementing x-platform multiplayer compatibility. The majority of people owning a PS4 is going to make random matchmaking easier as well as a larger chance that future friends you run into will have those games.
