It's the same damn game. (Haha) Either way it's GTA 3 on a Vita. Isn't the content the same? Have you played it? What differs from the iPad version.

Great, now go back month by month for the past year since it started.

Also going "lol indies" is pretty sad dude.
I love * Some * indies as much as the next guy. But most of them are not on the PS3. Damned, Amnesia, Kerbals, Defcon 5, etc - great games. The shit indie games seem to hit PS Plus.

Also, SR3 has been on PS Plus since I was outside on my deck sucking down oronas in June. It's damn near snowing now. Same with Xcom. Same with Uncharted 3. When is the last time they refreshed those? I saw Deux Ex on there for about 3-4 months... That's useful when the thing has been on my Steam account since it came free with another purchase at half off. New games every month! Here is ... Star Wars Pinball! Have fun with that one as you wait for another 6 months for more 3-4 year old steam sale games no one cares about to hit the AAA part of the download piece again. What a bargain.

Tol: The X360 had an amazingly strong first couple years for exclusives, that's for sure. It's the main reason that I went with it over the PS3 and it was years into the generation before I bought one. Sadly after those first couple years Microsoft decided that "LOL Halo, Gears, and Forza" were enough and totally dropped trying to get exclusives. Letting Mistwalker go was a huge mistake, especially since they haven't done anything of note since working on the X360.
Yep, and it's disappointing. I feel like the good exclusives started vanishing around the time they started promoting the hell out of kinect. I pretty much won't give the XB1 even a second glance until it's in the ~150 range. It's like they started with a push to get exclusives early in the gen, and then completely gave up on anything noteworthy other than gears/halo/forza for the last 4 years or so.

Also: liberty city stories is a different game. Episodes is just the two DLCs for GTA4 bundles together. Stories is it's own setting and story.

The lengths of PS+ titles are variable some are the yearly list (XCom: EU and UC3 are part of this years yearly list - they'll be there until around E3 next year) - others range from 1 to 3 months generally - largely towards the 3 month side of the spectrum. (Although for example BL1 was only a month)

The one you linked is a compilation pack of The Ballad of Gay Tony and The Lost and the Damned from GTA4. It is *not* the same thing as Liberty City Stories which takes place before GTA3 and is its own little thing.

There's also this horribly fallacy of "You would have bought all of these anyways before they came to PS+" going around. That's pretty ridiculous. PS+ has introduced me to a lot of games that I probably would never have gone and bought on my own and has been amazing at showing me stuff I'd probably have skipped otherwise. It has been worth it for that alone. That's likely the case for a lot of people.

Ut, PS+ sucks for you. That's fine. You can't just dismiss it for everyone else though. It has gotten almost universal praise here and around the internet for a reason. People like it and find value in it. It didn't click for you and it's not you're thing, but you're in a very small crowd when it comes to that. Shouting at the top of your lungs that it sucks and is bad is going to make what you say fall on a lot of deaf ears here.

/\/\ All I am saying is that when you pay in $50 a year and shit out games that have been out forever, it isn't such a great deal when you can download those games as demos and try them, and if you like them, find a great digital sale. Last I checked I didn't have to do the following with Steam.

* Pay a subscription fee to access their sales
* Pay a subscription fee to access multiplayer

And for fucks sake, with M$, pay a subscription fee to stream my fucking Netflix and Amazon prime which I also pay a sub for. (Jesus)

This alone. Are you fucking kidding me? Paying a subscription fee to BUY SOMETHING ELSE where the company * Still * makes a huge profit or they wouldn't sell it. Layers of ridiculous value you think you are getting such a great deal on when all this was free before Microsoft showed up. Fantastic. I still remember the days of Map Packs being free downloads as thank you's for purchasing the game and being a loyal customer. Now? 20 bucks for 4 fucking multiplayer maps. Really? That takes about 3 weeks to shit out.

The fact that this is becoming acceptable (God hopes Gabe N takes care of this BS next year for good) is downright fucking ridiculous. And has been a direct result of consoles.

Go Team Gabe Newell. I cannot wait to see the same value brought and guess what Sean, you won't have to pay a fucking red cent except for the games you purchase.

Until that becomes more accessible for you, which will be next year, you will have played your 2 exclusives on your $800 PS4 with PS+, 2 games, and a second controller with tax.

That's how you feel, that's not how I feel at all. I have not felt the least ripped off by PS+ and have felt that it is a fantastic value. You're not going to convince me or likely anyone else otherwise unless they already felt that way to begin with. You're going "wharblegarble You wasted your money and Sony is evil and ripping you off blah blah blah and you're stupid for buying into this shit" and that just goes in one ear and out the other. I don't feel that way and you're not going to make me feel that way.

I'm going to buy a PS4 and resubscribe to PS+ when it comes up and I will buy and enjoy many great games on it and have tons games that I can't play on the PC and it will be happy fun times. Nothing is going to change that.

You're not going to do that, that's great. You don't enjoy the many exclusive games that are console only, that's cool. A lot of use do though and will continue to do so.

And just as a side note - if you pay attention for promos, it's quite easy to get $50/18 mos instead of $50/yr - or even $40 if you stack some store promos with the bonus time promos. It's hard to say it's a bad deal when you're paying $2 a month.

And on the sales - almost every item that's on a PS+ sale is actually just getting a bonus additional sale for PS+, only a small fraction are ONLY on sale for PS+ members - just usually they'll give PS+ members an extra 10-25% off. (Which honestly is just icing on a delicious cake)

I don't think anyone's shitting on the people who enjoy PS+ and find it a great value, it's more like they're upset that it's becoming mandatory to play a console online and pay $50 a year even when the majority of games are still going to be the same shitty peer to peer matchmaking for the most part. So now it's become this crazy scenario where if you just want to dabble in a handful of exclusives on ps4 and XB1, you're going to be paying $100 a year, even if you play 95% of your multiplayer on a PC or something. It's unfortunate, because I wouldn't mind the occasional multiplayer experience on consoles, but prices like that is kind of absurd to just play a game of gears or uncharted online once in a blue moon. With a vita+ps3+ps+ I've managed to talk myself into a ps4 eventually, but Its definitely becoming even more of a "pick sides or pay $100 per year" situation.

I don't like that psn is making ps+ mandatory for online

I blame Microsoft though because their shitty service raked in so much cash Sony was just leaving dollars on the table by not following suit.

I love my PC and Steam, but I'm a pretty casual gamer these days and PS+ has been awesome. I had not yet played pretty much every game they've given away so far. The mandatory paying for Xbox and PS+ to play online is definitely bullshit and it's really going to drive people to only own a single console this generation.

This is the main reason why I'm skipping the PS4. For now, anyway. I simply don't have as much interest in console exclusives as I used to.

When the 360/PS3 gen started, I bought in when I saw Gears of War. It blew me away and I just had to have it. I bought a PS3 because I had a brand new 50" plasma and I wanted a blu-ray player. I bought a Wii because Wii Sports looked awesome.

This time round, nothing really looks interesting to me. All the third party games that used to be console only are now getting PC releases, leaving only the console exclusives, which I don't have much interest in. Looking at those lists of exclusive PS3/360 games, I can only pick out a handful that were released in the last few years - most of the ones I liked came early in this console cycle.

I don't think my tastes have changed. I just think the PC has gotten a whole lot better as a gaming platform over this past gen, making the next gen consoles less attractive.

Also, fuck paying for multiplayer. Multiplayer should be free.

The 360/PS3 era had the same overall feel to me as the Genesis/SNES 16 bit era.

Genesis(360) came roaring out of the gates with a lot of awesome games and exclusives and built up a huge lead and following. The SNES(PS3) stumbled a bit initially and it really took it several years to put together a good exclusive lineup of games worth playing, with many of the best games coming out at a point that the generation was pretty much dead already (Last of Us for PS3, Chrono Trigger for SNES came out only a year before Playstation, Sega had already discontinued the Genesis and released the Saturn by then)

You don't feel ripped off by PS+.

I don't feel ripped off by XBLIVE and you think people that would do that are morons .....

We all have our limits on what is an acceptable price and what we see as value.

The Sony fanboys though tout PS+ as some amazing deal that you can't top no matter what you do. This isn't a fact. That is very subjective.

Well, look at it as far as value for what you're physically paying for.

For a 12 month subscription to Xbox Live Gold, you're looking at $59.99
Xbox Live 12-Month Gold Subscription Code - Xbox.com

For that price you gain the ability to watch Netflix and Amazon videos on your xbox, and also play games online. I'm not really sure if you gain any other benefits, being that I don't have an Xbox.

On the other hand...
For a 12 month subscription to PlayStation Network Plus, you're looking at $49.99
https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-us/reward_game/playstationplus-1-year-membership/cid=IP9101-NPIA90005_01-1YEARPACKAGE0000?smcid=ps lus-page-jointoday:store-msf77008-psplusmember s-psn-playstation-plus

For that price you gain the ability to download a lot of free games every month for the PlayStation 3, the Vita and soon to be the PlayStation 4.
You also get discounts on many games that are not available for free using the PlayStation Store.
Finally, the ability to play online with PlayStation 4 games (It is currently free with PS3 ones. Please also note that it's also free to use Netflix & Amazon videos with PSN, which is why I didn't include that on the list of what you gain.)

Just comparing apples to apples.
