The market although it sells alot per capita, isn't that big, 1m is probably more realistic with the other 400k being somewhere in transit for various reasons/held stock/etc

hehehe yeah, though to be fair if we're just talking probs with a known drop rate then the (1-n)^X over 32 drops could mean it should have like 95% chance of dropping after so many attempts......but yeah, most people aren't thinking that, they're just going with fallacy

Right, it's one of those ways that they're MOSTLY right with their thinking but applying it the wrong way. i.e. in the Quarm case it's due in the sense that over time it should even out, but at the same time its wrong to think it influences an individual event.

Outlast got announced for PS4's freebie in the EU for February, so basically guaranteed to be the same here since PS4 has matched completely so far for PS+. (And for the PS3 it looks like they're basically getting the stuff we got last month - so nothing shining as a probable one for US PS+ to me)
Consoles need to do something about there pricing, you can get Thief for 29 bucks discounted right now on a superior platform.
Pretty much the same with every cross platform game, they are always around half the prices on the PC, and you get a much better experience.

"Better experience" is a highly subjective statement.... for people that don't want to bother with a $600+ machine it certainly won't be... those that hate having to bother with configuration nonsense won't be... some of those that don't want to hook a PC to a TV won't be... etc.
And PC software doesn't require licensing fees to the platform developer, there's always going to be a price difference since there's an extra hand in the till.
