I'm on the fence, and recently picked up a Ps3 to check out some titles I've missed along the way, but come on. The whole idea of buying a console, just to let it collect dust is mind blowing to me.

1. I needed to replace my Roku on my second TV. I hate it. I use a Wii U to stream to my primary TV.
2. Starting with Destiny next month, there are at least 2 games a month that I want for the foreseeable future.
3. Fez is free with psplus this month.
4. Towerfall: Ascension
5. I got a crazy good deal. Traded an EVGA GTX 780sc ACX (and a logitech g502 mouse I hated and was collecting dust) for a PS4, Pulse Elite headset, 2x DS4, and 3 games.

Considering GTX 880s are slated for release next month, and the value of my 780 was about to plummet, I think I made a good call.

canada only, definitely not in the USA. USA Target was running a great deal last week where you could get $15 off any $40+ game, and also PM the game to get it lower so people were getting Ghosts for $6-10, BF4 for $10-15, etc but that deal ended sunday. That canada target deal sounds insane, worth a trip up to the border if you are close.

Nothing huge right now, you can trade in Madden 25 PS4/Xbone this week for $25 at Best Buy and also get a $10 coupon towards Madden 15, which comes out next week, basically $35 discount on Madden 15 if you have Madden 25. Other than that no real big deals this week. Next week (8/25) Gamestop is going to offer 50% more trade in value, so if you are trading in any games may as well wait for that, good way to build up some credit towards fall games. You do need a coupon for the 50% credit bonus but you can go into GS this week and ask for one, if they have any left.

I have virtually infinite amounts of free time and imo even with that much time and 400+ steam games and nearly every console I barely game anymore, just lose interest really fast. One or two really, really good games is all I need to justify a console purchase. TLOU is really fucking awesome, and Destiny will be great. I bought a Wii U pretty much just for MK8 and its easily my favorite game in the current rotation. Still don't see that killer title for xbox one, Halo:MCC and Sunset Overdrive come kinda close but both are running more on hype than reality right now.

The sale is on all month. All of the PS4 games had been sold out until today when i got my 3. Check back when you can. The PS4 stock is pretty light, but the PS3 games are still great deals (TLOU & GTA5 for $10 each)

I've tagged a few games on PSN+ but really only played Bioshock: Infinite and Dragons Crown. Definitely feel I got my $30 worth for those two games alone. Dragons Crown is actually a lot of fun but it's not a game I'd have bought if it wasn't free.

I'll admit that I took that more harsh than I intended.

Actually, yes the game does get more fun once you start to unlock things. In particular the Multi-Player stuff is done really well but you don't unlock that until you get about 2 or 3 hours into the game. With that being said, the game doesn't drastically change much so if you didn't like the first 30 minutes, you're probably not going to like the rest. It goes without saying that a big part of the fun of these types of games is finding a class that you enjoy playing since they all have different styles. Also it suffers/benefits from the Diablo/Borderlands style loot system where loot simply rains down on you and part of the fun is getting good upgrades.

But for me, as a free game it was a lot of fun. It's easy to play in 30 minute chunks and there's a ton of replayability.

I find the dwarf to be fun. I really like picking people up and throwing them everywhere. Especially smashing everything with the air throw. And you get to do a manly pump yourself up buff to let the other players know shit is about to get real.

Of that list, in order, I guess I would put my releases for

Far Cry 4
Dragon Age
Middle Earth
Destiny
The Evil Within
Assassins Creed (played all of them, never finished one).

Though to put them in perspective, if I could delay all of the above to next year and get The Witcher 3 now, I'd do that immediately.
