It's also retarded to mention Disney, Elon, Epstein or Bootyjuice when we're supposed to be immersed in the show's world.

It still has to make sense. She just knows that throwing those buzzwords in will be enough to have the lefty seals clapping. Lazy and deranged.
No, this show does not have to make sense. It doesn't make sense from episode 1 forward. The timeline of how long sups have been around and the world still being basically the same as our world makes no sense from minute 0. The fact that sups are somehow kept in check from taking over this fictional world by their media popularity ratings is nonsense when an entire army can't stop someone like Homelander.

This show is some weird allegory about Hellenic gods transposed onto modern mass media corporatism, mixed with a bunch of post-Sept 11th tropes. It's complete happenstance that the "tyrant who just wants to be loved" meme fits so well into the present.

I'm talking about the writing in a scene and you're waffling about the whole plot of the show. Homelander kills someone in broad daylight in front of 1000 witnesses, gets acquitted of murder. Trump gets charged for a non crime bookkeeping bs turned felony, found guilty on all counts. You

No shit the show wouldn't last more than 1 episode if the main characters didn't have a plot armor at all times. Just look at Hughie's ridiculous escape in the latest episode. That's how lazy they are now. The show supposed to mock common Hollywood tropes is telling you now the CIA are the good guys working to protect you and you're eating it up.

The ice rink scene is possibly the dumbest scene in the show so far, in terms of putting The Boys in a situation and then using a chain of plot armor to get them out of it.

I started counting up the inconsistencies after watching it:
Homelander can see through everything but a handful of materials in the first season, but now duct work is hiding Hughie?
Homelander can fly through buildings like they aren't even there, yet instead of just flying into the duct (that he can't see through), he is going to keep trying to guess using his now completely normal human ears?
Homelander can easily fly up into the rafters to get a better view when he hears Hughie up there, yet he just stands on the ground shooting lasers.
Homelander can move faster than the shockwave of a bomb in previous seasons (saved Butcher), yet everything above happens...

So the only logical conclusion would be that Homelander was lying to Neuman when he said he was going to kill Huigie; except haven't they already established that Homelander is a bit of a dullard and cant think tactically? I guess everything this season that looks like stupid shit writing can be handwaved away as "trust the plan" (Sage's Plan).

He should have smelled him before the sweat even dropped on him.

It's all just come book writing, ultimately.

The problem with writing for Superman is that ultimately almost every story ends up fucked because he is Superman. You can't sneak up on him, you can't run or escape from him and you can't beat him in a fight. Thus you get stories involving "lead lined" AC duct in a skating rink.

It was funny but also true.
A very woman thing to say in that screenshot. A very mortal man taking on basically a god, and making that god fear you? Somehow not good enough!

Homelander doesn't care about Butcher, but also knows he is his only real mortal enemy. That woman probably also complains because he forgot the bread and is emotionally unavailable.

Hughie not being dead within microseconds at the ice rink is the worst plotting this show has ever done.

It's also hard to shake the feeling that everyone suddenly has new backstory they need to go through this season for any reason other than the writers have no idea how to progress Homelander vs the Boys without the Boys becoming leaky piles of entrails instantly. Can't wait for the season finale where, unlike Season 3, Homelander doesn't lose because Maeve turns against him, because this time around it'll be A-Train, Sage, Ryan, and maybe Maeve again against him.

The entire Ice rink scene was stupid. Besides what was mentioned, what the fuck was up with all of the "Final Destination" scenes?

This season is boring so far. Apparently GAY Porno is the only kind of porno allowed. Straight people are no longer allowed to show affection.

Once again the series is slow walking any kind of story advancement....

yeah it was obvious the ice skating stuff was setup just to show a bunch of gratuitous violent kills and they didn't give a shit to do a proper setup for it.

It makes no sense that The Boys don't have a bunch of red shirts since they are an (un)official agency now, they should have a dozen agents on loan from the CIA, its dumb they keep sending out Hughie or Frenchie to follow the same people. A red shirt CIA agent should have been up in the ducts and lasered by homelander instantly when he detects their heartbeat and then he spots a recording device on a skater or whatever (turns out its just to tape the rehearsals) and he goes nuts killing everyone. Same scene, setup much better without Hughie plot armor.

"only male nudity now" in Hollywood is annoying as fuck, every recent TV show and movie has only dick and balls and no titties. Bet you the next season of House of the Dragon is also dicks out only.

I'm putting my money on Sage discovering Kryptonite. Or Ryan somehow getting juiced and distracts his dad so the Boys can... Well still do nothing. Ok, back to the Sage and kryptonite theory.

That and the needlessly gory stuff for shock value are signatures of the show from the beginning. I keep seeing leftists saying right wingers are so dumb it took them 4 seasons to understand the show is mocking them. This scene from s2 exists and is as direct and amateurish as a government PSA.

We know they hate the right and want them dead. The difference is they got it out of the way in 3 minutes and went back to advancing the plot with all the ingredients that made the series good.

I never read any spoiler and have no idea about the comics, but I can predict, based on the TDS centered writing, that Homelander will decimate everyone and kill at least Starlight and A-Train, probably Frenchie and Kimiko too since their stories are going nowhere. It will be an Avengers: Infinity war ending to make their audience sad and mad. So much for breaking the Hollywood mold.
