He's basically to Dallas what lynch is to Seattle. You're just trying to ease the pain. Best year Dallas had in a long time was due in large part to him and now he's gone. You don't just replace guys like that. Not sure what you're smoking. AP is only chance Dallas has and he might cost a lot with picks and salary
The offensive line made Murray, not Murray made the line better.

It is pretty easy to put up monster yardage when you get the ball nearly every down, have a dominate offensive line and have Dez Bryant pulling the defense back so they can't just stack the box every down. I'm not saying he's a bad player or anything I just wouldn't pay any RB other than pre-abuse Peterson that kind of money. DMM is no Peterson who did this shit by himself. DMM appeared to be more a product of the offensive gameplan and the other players on the field. I imagine if you plugged Jeremy Hill into last year and gave him the touches of DMM he'd have a very comparable season.

Have you looked at his career stats or are you just talking last season? He's always produced. His health has been the issue.

We signed Matthews too. So less carries for sure.

Except Dallas has the defensive ability of wet paper. They're like a bizarro Colts where their run game will be very strong and their pass game heavily reliant on Dez getting open.

I think I would take McCoy over Demarco Murray any day of the week. What the fuck man, I want to believe but Chip is making it very hard. I understand total team reconstruction and getting your own guys in there, but the only things that really sucked about the team last year were the secondary and the outrageous amount of QB turnovers.

I would not call the Eagles a team in need of a total rebuild; they were a team in need of Revis and a quarterback who recognized the appropriate color jerseys to throw to. This shit feels like a team that went 2-14 getting rebuilt from scratch instead of a 10-6 team that only missed the playoffs because of some epic bedshittery in 3 of the last 4 games.

I loved shady but it's obvious chip wanted a more north/south guy that took 1 step and ran thru a hole. Shady isn't that kind of back, Murray is and still has great hands.

You have to be trolling with that last comment. Murray started the season with a fumble in the first 4(5?) games and he also fumbled in the game against GB.

Here something else to think about. Football Outsiders graded Dallas the BEST team in the league for Adjusted Line Yards. Philly ranked 30th. And last I checked they didn't go out of their way to bolster that O-line any. Along with that, Dallas was second best in Open Field yards (their RBs were good) and Philly was sixth (their RBs were also good). From thepage:

A team with a high ranking in Adjusted Line Yards but a low ranking in Open Field Yards is heavily dependent on its offensive line to make the running game work. A team with a low ranking in Adjusted Line Yards but a high ranking in Open Field Yards is heavily dependent on its running back breaking long runs to make the running game work.
Basically, if Murray really is all that then he's really going to have to prove it in Philly, because that line won't be any help.

Another person who hasn't looked at Murrays career numbers.

Nobody is claiming the Cowboys are better without him. They are a worse football team right now without him. However, the Cowboys are better off spending the money on more important positions and replacing one of the most replaceable positions with a cheap player/rookie. They don't have the cap room and the defense needs help bad.
