Yes, and it has been pointed out that if you hang around the people transitioning from single player games and can't be assed to hold down 'w' for 120 seconds then you're going to get back the effort that you put in. If outside of the tutorial area, things are too easy, then maybe that's because you're in an area specifically designed for people who don't yet know what they're doing. In my opinion, if you take the time to pay attention to the dialogue instead of making out like solo combat is everything, then the story makes up for it.

We'll see how it goes. Right now the PVE in TESO is so bad I can't imagine them being able to create a decent end-game PVE system like they did for the warfare PVP system. Who knows, maybe they'll hire someone who knows wtf is going on and can salvage a PVE endgame out of it, but I doubt it.
But like others mentioned I and a lot of other people here are in PRX, which means we're going to get together and rule Tamriel. PRX doesn't require that you spend a lot of time ingame, just that when you're ingame you're ready to win wars. Like any big group of people it has a lot of people who enjoy the PVE stuff, but I won't be bothering with it.

Holy shit is that the new gig? Pay attention to the story? With SWTOR and all it's faults, the main story line was engaging and well written. This, however, is utter fucking trash. And anyone that played through it knows it. Not even subjective opinion bypasses this. With 8 classes in SWTOR with their own story line, I think we all came to the consensus that Agent rocked, Sith warrior Rocked, Iquisitor was ghost busters, and BH sucked. Jedi knight was Jesus meets Star wars, JC SUCKED. Trooper was ok, smuggler was who fucked who and why (Kind of like who got promoted in Sigil!... (Sorry))
This game has none of that. And Wonder woman could jump out of the screen and suck my dick, it still wouldn't make up for the bland bullshit that makes up any semblance of incoherent story in this game. That's what you get when you hire your lore guy from an AD&D module and writing the concept of Zaxxon from the Atari 2600.

BTW I have been lurking on the FoH boards since it was the noows site. I applied for posting rights but never got it. I've read many of your crazed rants over the years just for their entertainment value. A few weeks ago was the first time I could prove you were lying. It makes me wonder how many other lies you have told over the years. You obviously are very good at it and quite convincing. BTW I plan to stick around for a while now. There is still some entertainment value if seeing you trying to wiggle out of the holes you dig for yourself.

Utanayan has made some good criticisms too. That's why it sucks to see him backslide into baloney so badly. The action game elements (blocking, moving to dodge, etc) could use a lot more training early on and it could even redeem early PvE in the starter zones if done properly. It's just that now he seems to be grasping at straws.

I wouldn't ask you to break NDA if you do (and I'm not stupid enough to think you would). I'm just curious if you're basing your judgement on experience or a guess. It's worth saying that the days of the classic raid are probably behind us. Even WoW has moderned things up a bit where that's concerned. Pantheon could deliver (hopes and dreams come true sometimes).

Here is the problem. The combat reaction is so janky that those moves don't matter. Half the time the lag (I am talking on the real server now, what we will see at launch, not the controlled closed beta shit) interferes with the reaction times of those blocks in "Action" mode. When I went to play the weekend beta, I noticed the two extremes. If they were able to clean up the combat, it would stand a chance at a fairly decent, although flawed, PvP game. PvE is horrible, we all know that. But Tuco and his posse aren't interested in that. They kick ass in PvP. (And they do). The problem is the combat is so horrible that PRX may just all fall off within 2 weeks. And if they don't, they will get bored when they steamroll a campaign and have nothing to do for 2 and a half months.
Lag could certainly make the difference in our opinions. I never saw lag outside of PvP, and even then it typically only happened in enormous battles. We can't speak to what will happen at release, but predicting server issues for a new MMO is like predicting that a brand new restaurant may need more or fewer wait staff than initially assumed. It's bound to happen, but unlike wait staff, going overboard to be sure is incredibly costly. We're more likely to end up with too few waiters than too many, and everybody knows that.
The 90 day thing is a standing good point, and will be until ZMO backs off of that. I worry about how much of their design is based around long run campaigns like that. Hopefully they'll at least have some other options. As for combat, they're working on impact in animations and sound as we speak. Balance is going to be meh in PvP. It's rock, paper, scizzors; tank, caster, stealth. But it works.
If the predictions about endgame PvE turn out to be wrong, will we see a backpedal on that or will we just start criticizing the first expansion that we don't know anything about yet? Vague subjective statements say very little, and vague subjective statements that cover things that we don't know say even less. That is, unless you're one of Matt Firor's troop, in which case I might be eating crow come a few months from now. Evidence just speaks more loudly than opinion.
It wasn't that big a deal. Being a casual player, I didn't have anything to contribute to any of the threads discussing end game raiding. I only applied for posting rights when Schilling started discussing Copernicus development.

If Utnayan had any inside contacts in Zenimax, especially if they were disgruntled employees, he would be providing specific details instead of the broad generalizations that typically plague every MMO launch.
He doesn't even know what problems the closed beta testers are discussing right now. If he did, he would be including them in all of his rants.

It's just a guess. And my concerns for a 90 day campaign are the opposite of, "I don't know if we can win for 90 days.", it's more that I'm afraid we'll fight hard for two weeks, win uncontested for 30 days and get bored.
