The backstabbing attack from Medina Station -- I thought there was still a speed limit when crossing through the gate itself? Those missiles seemed to come in very hot.

They also seemed really ill-prepared to defend the ring, but I suppose there was an implicit assumption that the Martians would shoulder that burden and they went off to go Avatar.

Kill out everyone on Ceres and in the belt and replace them with new miners and shit from Earth. That will at least delay this problem for awhile.

This shit is so dumb. Their table argument effectively means that billions of people on Earth could be killed by a "rogue element" and you have zero retaliatory options. lol clown space future.

The authors are huge sjws... As are the cast.

Just realized I haven't seen the latest episode, and don't care.

Good job, show was bad enough I don't give a shit anymore.

Thx sjws for fucking up something else

But then in a couple generations you end up, again, with the majority of the workers in the belt having been born in low G and stuck being belters for life, and the cycle continues, of course. But you admit it's just delaying so yeah, saying this for the sake of the overall conversation. :p that's just the "kick the can down the road" solution.

And they would look back to the genocide of the belters after hitting earth with a rock, and pause to think.

But yeah, trade billions for like, a few hundred. That's definitely the play.

THERE ARE CHILDREN ON [BELTER ASTEROID HIVE CITY] WE CANT ATTACK THEM! WE'LL RADICALIZE MORE OF THEM!

Uh, they just killed billions of people on Earth. You think the outright billions of people who now lost someone directly to belter attacks are not going to hate belters because of peace and unity?

If you kill your enemy, they win.

Speed limit isn’t in effect because Miller deactivated it. But ya, the ring area was never really fortified except by a token force to fight pirates and the Medina station which was still Belt controlled.

Had no idea this season was only 10 episodes. Definitely felt a bit cramped this season, which is a shame. I still enjoy the show, but I think mlre from a "Space Opera with good production quality" standpoint than it actually being a "great" show anymore. Oh well, Amos is still the shit.

How is the books that season 6 will be based on? Seems like the last two seasons have been down in writing quality (even though I loved some of the cinematography from season 4). The Mars twist seems like a fun direction?

They basically gave him Fred’s book death, which is what I predicted would happen, but I didn’t think it would happen during the rescue part.

Sucks, but tbh it is also realistic. They could easily further correct it by saying his long usage of the drug (prior Navy career and his life style) caused complications which resulted in an increased risk of intracranial hemorrhage. I’m guessing they had to reshoot a bunch of scenes to account for him not being there and only in-show death that worked was the brain bleed because they could alter existing footage to make it work.

It was one group that launched asteroids into the planet. Target that group, only, and shore-up defenses to prevent another attack from occurring. Don't run around committing genocide, that only fans the flames. You win a war like this by rising above it and attacking hostile military targets only and addressing their legitimate concerns, like maybe stop treating the belters like they're human waste?
Those are fine western sensibilities...Now ask what the Mongols would do under the Khans. Remember, all cultures and their solutions to such problems have equal value!

But you literally can never be done with belters unless you invent faster than light travel able to let Johnny Minerface to asteroid mine in the "day" and still go to bed with his wife in his terrestrial apartment at night? Or just give up on space altogether?

"Bellter" isn't a race, it's a needed profession. Y'all are saying "blow up the miners, construction workers, and truckers!"
According to the show, it essentially is a race. Marco Inaros all but states that the ring has clocked down the belter people to 0, since the physical adaptations of the Belters make it almost impossible for them to colonize worlds with 1g. Physical adaptations...not other kinds. yknow, the evolutionary kind...

with only seeing like 3 skinnes on the show, it is really hard to see them as how different they should be.

Its so far removed, but remember the first episode of the show where all they had to do was take that one belter to earth to torture him? being in the presence of 1g was enough to cause that dude massive torment

it’s easier to write belters as having specific characteristics vs showing that on TV. Your “special effects” budget in a story is unlimited and only restricted by the visual image you convey to the audience.

On a TV show, it can cost millions.
