Buddy of mine who I've been friends with since high school does stunt work for TV and movies in Atlanta. Lot of TV shows are shot there now. He's been on a couple of projects with Chatham and said he's a really down to earth, nice guy, unlike a lot of actors he's met over the years.
I'll have to check out his podcast. Thanks for posting that.
Well just be prepared to be very disappointed with the last two seasons. Warning you now. It's a great show but man does it really fall off at the end, especially if you read the novels.Had never seen this, but watched season 1, and I've gotta say that it's not bad, not bad at all. It might be that everything else is so terrible these days, a show from 2016 with relatively mild SJWism was such a relief. Anyways, going into season 2 feeling somewhat hopeful.
oh well, what a shame. I knew it was too good to lastWell just be prepared to be very disappointed with the last two seasons. Warning you now. It's a great show but man does it really fall off at the end, especially if you read the novels.
I just read all the books and the changes in the show specifically dealing with certain pivotal characters really annoyed me. The first few seasons are still wonderful, and probably some of the better science fiction television you'll ever see, it's worth your time just be prepared that the last of it is going to crap out. It just would have been so awesome that they just follow the books which originally they were doing a pretty phenomenal job of being as true to the source material as possible.oh well, what a shame. I mean stuff with Miller that happens in the show if I remember was pretty accurate to the books, and it's some of the better stuff within the series. Apart from Amos, he's probably the other best character. I don't necessarily think it was bad the way any of that was handled. Also the detective or whatever leaving the show didn't help. They also wrote out the big Belter leader for some reason.
This is what I have (sorta) done on my two most recent re-watches, but I stop after season 4.i haven't rewatched the show in a long time but if I ever do I'd just watch seasons 1-3 and read the books for the rest. its just not very good after season 3 and every season is worse than the last, like game of thrones.
the belter leader stays a bit more consistent in the books, he wasn't in the shows because the guy they got playing him - Jared Harris - became huge in shows like Mad Men, Chernobyl, etc. Sadly he's been wasting his talents in Foundation although I imagine Apple threw big bucks at him for a lead role that barely is in the show - he plays Hari Seldon in that show.
I don't think they did anything wrong either in him "leaving" either. He was just such a great actor and it was a great character and added a certain feel. Gave it a sort of noire vibe too. That's the great thing about the first 3 seasons is how they do the scope and perspective. Reminded me a bit of how they did seasons in The Wire.I mean stuff with Miller that happens in the show if I remember was pretty accurate to the books, and it's some of the better stuff within the series. The belter leader no specifically with such a talented actor was kind of surprising he just evaporates. I only remember what the hell happened or what they said they did off screen to justify his absence.
Agree 100 percent. When it goes from alien secret tech and espionage, to dumb Indian and black lady famiy drama the show is over. The crew isn't even together at that point.First 3 seasons are awesome. Legit excellent. Season 4 was still good, and then it definitely doesn't maintain quality afterwards. It's still worth watching the whole way through and even the last couple seasons have some awesome stuff but the consistency just isn't there.
