I ate at Bobby Flay's burger place yesterday. It was ok. The burger I had was probably better than Five Guys. I had the Miami Burger, which is basically like a cuban press but a burger. However, it was expensive as fuck. 40 bucks for me, the wife, and 3 kids sharing 2 kids meals. You expect that pricing at a sit-down place, but I don't think this place was worth it for the quality. My burger was also rare as fuck and I had the exploding shits late that night, I think the two are related.

Indulge a little... 9,982 calories in that burger man. Are you morbidly obese? Is your maintenance calories like 8000/day?
Yeah, I don't think 9,000 calories on a rare occasion is going to kill you unless you already have some medical issues.

I ate one of these once on a dare; I don't know how many calories there are in nearly 7lbs of Army pudding but I just felt really ill for about 12hrs.

As I get older I just can't do shit like that anymore. We went crazy a few months back at work and got double burgers from Johnny Rockets with onion rings, I felt like shit for an entire day after eating that. A few years ago I could take on an entire pizza over the course of a few hours, now I just start feeling sick after like 3 slices.

Not morbidly, down to ~285 now and will be busting my ass to get to at least 240 by the time I headover there in late october so I figure if I do I can have one shot as something I'll likely do once in my life but no point if the burger is utter crap in taste. Already resigned to putting on at least 5kg for the 18 days given we won't have cooking facilities and will be relying on take-away and restaurants so if it's gonna happen then yeah, I'll "indulge" once

The better point to make is that there are so many better burger places in Vegas than the Heart Attack Grill. Unless you want to go just for the novelty of it, skip it.

One of the bars/non-fancy restaurants in the Bellagio makes an awesome burger. I'll try to remember the name of it...

Speaking of which:

Heading up the list is a dish the center says is the most caloric on The Cheesecake Factory's notoriously indulgent menu: the Bistro Shrimp Pasta, which has 3,120 calories and 89 grams of saturated fat. That's five whole days' worth of fat, the report notes.
I want to know who came up with that number. 89 grams of fat is 5 days worth...for who, exactly? My macros are to get about .4-1g of fat per pound of bodyweight. So basically, that's a day. Granted, I don't generally eat that muchsaturatedfat in a day, but it's certainly not even close to 5. Fucking strange. I feel like that number was taken from something written in the 90's when everyone was villifying fat.

Eveyone is still villifying fat. Nothing has changed in that regard.

Yeah, Five Guys is about 25 for all of us to eat.
$25 for two adults and 3 kids? What the hell are you guys ordering?

Last time I took the kids this was my tab. (two adults and 3 kids)

Little Bacon Burger Cost: $4.89 x2
Little Hamburger Cost: $3.89 x1
Little Cheeseburger Cost: $4.49 x2
Regular Fries Cost: $2.99 x3
Regular Drink Cost: $2.19 x3
Waters x2 - free

+ tax and it came out to around $41 bucks so at least for us.

Bobby's Burger Palace is way over rated and over priced. I also think Five Guys is a bit on the expensive side, but at least at Five Guys you get a mountain of french fries with each order so it makes it a little more worth it. I swear at Bobby's Burger Palace they individually count out each fry to make sure you get just what you paid for and no more.

Anyway, the worst thing about Bobby's Burger Palace is the retarded seating system. I feel like I'm in a fucking elementary school cafeteria with all the long tables. When it's crowded I have to sit right next to some slob stranger. Fuck that.

Mmm I love a rare burger. Medium rare most I'll go, otherwise it becomes cardboard in both consistency and flavor.

Then again, I eat steaks black and bleu to the point where the meat isn't even warm. So delicious tho. And steak tartare mm.

She's lucky I let her out of the kitchen.

Seriously though, at 5 guys we only need to order 3 burgers and 1 fry and that is more than enough for the table. Granted, my kids are still toddlers. But those 3 burgers and 1 fry are about the same amount of food that 4 burgers and 4 fries were at Bobby's Burger place. It wasn't terrible food or like 5 star prices, just more expensive than I expected and the quality was also not what I expected. That also might have to do with it being a new location, they seemed all frazzled as fuck.

Yeah i go medium rare in most cases with beef at the most, except with ground beef. I just have a problem with that.

Probably not doubling up on the fries and skipping drinks - not sure what your 5 Guys is like, but all the one's I've been to you buy a single large for like $1 more than a small and the literally fill up an entire goddamn bag with fries - wife and I have hefty appetites as do all the company we've hit 5 Guys with, and to date we've NEVER with 4 people even finished off one of their Large Fries. We've gotten close at times, but just close.

Heck though, some people probably even skip the fries entirely with the free peanuts.

4 people couldn't finish the large fries? Then you do NOT have a large appetite lmao. I get a large fry each time I'm in there to go along with my double bacon cheeseburger. I'm also 23 so... maybe I just haven't hit a ceiling yet.

Bro, when you've seen industrial ground beef made you would not trust that shit either.

Yeah I don't think all 5 people in my family could finish a large fry at 5 Guys. My kids all all 4 and younger and I'm trying not to be a ridiculous fat person. I'm also 33. So yeah.
