There's a difference betweenbeing ableto finish off a large fry at 5 Guys andmaking the choiceto finish off the large fry. If you literally cannot eat an entire large fry then you don't have a big appetite. You have a normal appetite (which is a good thing).

I used to get 1 large fry for everyone to split and ask for an extra bag to dump reis into and they gave me shit about it, so now I just get multiple smaller fries. Getting 1 large as opposed to 2 or 3 regulars would have only saved me $4 or $5 anyway and I'm not worried about a few bucks.

We don't go out to eat often, maybe twice a month so when we go out we tend to over eat as it's the only time we ever really do so.

Buying one large instead of 5 little saves about 12 bucks off the top at five guys. That's pretty significant. Since my kids are small enough to split their enormous burgers, there are more savings to be had there!

I have kids in double digits for age so we sir are not in the same boat with regards to that.

Heh, yeah, mine are growing up though, my oldest polished off an entire burger from Bobby's and then an ice cream cone after, and a full kids order of fries and like half of my fries. She was in hell around bedtime, her stomach hurt so bad. But the norm is we get some kind of kid's meal and have the girls split it and the baby eats off of everyone's plates.Saves a ton of money that way.

I guess the fact we go out so little I'm not worried in saving money when we go. I dunno. I can say all the food we order at 5 guys gets eaten and I don't really see how it could be retooled to save more then a couple bucks.

That being said....now I really want to go to 5 guys.

Bro, when you've seen industrial ground beef made you would not trust that shit either.

Yeah I don't think all 5 people in my family could finish a large fry at 5 Guys. My kids all all 4 and younger and I'm trying not to be a ridiculous fat person. I'm also 33. So yeah.
A little food poisoning never killed anyone bro. Except those like 3000 people who died last year... BUT WHAT ARE THE ODDS?!

P.S. If you have diarrhea for more than like a day they say you most likely have food poisoning. Remember that next time you're shitting your brains out.

I eat a shitload of fast food, and oddly enough the only food poisoning I've ever had was from Cheesecake Factory. I probably eat fast food a couple times a week for the past 20 years. Maybe I've just been lucky so far.

I think some people have much stronger stomachs/digestive tracks than others. As far as I know, I've never had food poisoning and I eat out a lot and I've eaten some incredibly shady shit in some incredibly shady places in some incredibly shady countries.

So I have decided to make a trip to taco bell for the first time in about a year for lunch today. Any suggestions on what to get? Only thing that is a must is their lava sauce, other then that I am open for just about anything.

I still like the old-school stuff at Taco Bell. Double-decker tacos, bean burritos, etc. The doritos tacos aren't bad, but there's no chance I'd eat a Cool Ranch one, that's the worst dorito flavor ever, I can't imagine how bad a cool ranch taco would be. If you like their lava sauce(I dont) I'm pretty sure you can get lava doritos tacos.

You should be able to order whatever you want and ask for lava sauce on it

Ended up getting the volcano nachos and a crunchwrap supreme with lava sauce. Was pretty good and that lava sauce is fucking great. Got the yearly taco bell fix and it didn't turn into a shit storm so +1 to them.

I've said it before, but I can eat the most rank ass shit from a roach coach and nothing. I eat 2 McDouble's from McD's and I will shatter porcelain within an hour.

Am I the only person that can't eat McDonalds because the food tastes fake? I feel it going into my mouth, but there it doesn't even feel like I'm really eating something real. It's hard to explain.

No, I know exactly how you feel, and at the same time hard to explain it as well. It fees like "all the pieces" of a burger are there, but they don't actually complete an "item" for lack of a better word. Everything seems to float freely, their is no cohesiveness. Every ingredient in a quarter pounder seems to be doing it's own thing, and even when I eat it, I feel each item individually. I'm never eating a "burger", I'm eating a bun, meat, pickles, ketchup, etc. I can taste every item by itself, separate from the others, without every getting the "I'm eating a burger" feeling.

I agree.

I can understand eating McDonalds back in the day because it was one of the only places to get fast food. Nowadays, though, I can't understand why anyone eats there. The food tastes...off, like you mentioned, the prices aren't really much better than anywhere else, and there are far more, better options for fast food available now.

The only people I know who regularly eat McDonalds do so for time constraint reasons, not because they actually enjoy the food.
