If my family were to take them seriously, I suppose that would be hurtful. My kids looked at the folks who said it like they had two heads. When we got back to the van, they asked what was wrong with them.

I am fully aware that some people would be all up in arms over this. I just don't care. I'll never go back, and I have a good reason. If anyone asks me, I'll tell them the story. Writing to the company - seriously, what would that accomplish? Get a few douche canoes fired, perhaps. That would feel good, on some level, sure. What I really hope is that those same workers do that to a lot of customers, so their customer base dwindles, and the franchise in this city goes out of business. That would be best. Those workers clearly are taking queues from their boss. And screw that guy.

Yeah, there is a point where you have to stand up for yourself. Calling out a couple of stupid people in a restaurant we'll never be in again while my kids watch isn't one of those times. I could not care less what those people think of me, nor did those people have any impact on what my wife or children think of me. What my family took from that exchange was that the people who work there are pretty stupid. If I had screamed and gone crazy, it would have become a big issue. As it is, no issue.

Apparently "corporate" and the "Owners" are the ones driving these anti-gay issues. A quick google on the subject alludes as much atleast.

This is likely the main reason why I can't find a single chick-fil-a franchise in the state of Washington (well atleast in any habitable 100 mile radius of Seattle).

If they did open a restaurant here I'm sure there would be some Arsons.
