With local sit down restaurants being cheaper and better than fast food I can’t think of a single reason to ever visit these places again. They are buttfucking everyone and by sheer scale fast food is meant to be cheap and quick while sacrificing quality…. Now these retard faggots sacrifice all 3 and the sooner they go under the better.

My state recently got a couple of Slim Chickens nearby, months after some Canes have gone in. Fairly ironic given the very first post of this thread but the Canes was completely lacking with bottom tier fries and mid level chicken leaving the toast as the only thing they did right. Still, they generated long lines and plenty of business which is ironic since the Slim Chickens has opened with less of an opening boom but their tenders are at a much higher tier. Fries are acceptable while the toast is simply toast, but none of it is a negative like the Canes quality.
I have no doubt meat suppliers for the region play into this, but I'm not driving to another state I have to pick based on store performance around me.

That’s pretty gay then. It’s been a long time since I lived in KC but I remember a chain called Back Yard Burger that I was a fan of. KC also had fucking Taco John’s which was another place superior to Taco Bell in every way.
Man thinking of places I miss from up there Longboards was a little wrap shop that was fucking amazing, and then their was the shit taco joint In-A-Tub which is where you should meet up with Sox and try not to get molestered.

Longboards I still stop at occasionally. I usually get whatever their special burrito is. They had a 'greek' one that was surprisingly good.
I do smash In-a-Tub on occasion. It's like 3 weeks worth of grease in those fucking tacos but I do get the craving for them every so often. I just wish their 'hot' sauce was actually hot.
Also that's a solid 'no' on Sox, LOL

Speaking of hidden gems in KC when I lived there. They used to have this ghetto American Inventor Italian place that served spaghetti and shit out of a fucking car wash. I can’t remember the name of the place but if you know then you know and the shit was solid.

Did you get the Canes to go? Their fries are decently good, but if you get them to go they are awful. They put them in the styrofoam container with the chicken and within a minute they are steamed and soggy. Their chicken is decently good, but somewhat bland. The sauce fixes that, but I’d agree that the chicken itself is nothing fancy.
