They did a tasting on the AV Club and said it was the worst thing ever, as predicted by ME

RE: Peeps Milk, maybe if you leave it out on the counter exposed to the air for 2 weeks it tastes better.

I remember seeing something promotional near here about Wendy's breakfast but I never tried it and I don't think they do it anymore.

I miss Whataburger breakfast. Their breakfast burritos are fucking amazing.
Here both McDonalds and Whataburger have great breakfasts. The McD's here is solid, unlike other experiences in this thread. Everythings always hot, fresh, and seems like right out of the toaster/oven. Whataburger, mmmm sausage on jalapeno cheddar biscuit is so win.

Yeah I had both my bottles last night, it were glorious. Tony is the fucking man.
Still not heard back from my voicemail, wondering if he retired in the meantime, hah. He always talked about retiring early and the department uses one voicemail for the department so...

But yea, clearly it seems from your own later details that it was just a temporary shortage of stock. (Or poor stocking)

Was visiting the parents in MD this weekend. Stopped at a McD's on the way back from the casino hoping to get one of those Old Bay Filet o' Fish sandwiches I'd heard about. Asked if they still sold them and they sure did, except it was 12:02 and their menu was switched over. Fucking hell. Also saw Dr. Pepper 10 2 4s at Sheetz on the drive back up to NY today, but didn't buy one since I wasn't feeling well. Not sure why I didn't just get one to save for later. Fast food disappointment this weekend.

Shrimp and Avocado Burrito, for Japanese weirdness item obviously. And that Fajita Quesadilla, because it looks fucking delicious and I want one right now.
I absolutely hate both avocado and sour cream.

I might just McCheese it and ask for one of everything on the menu (besides the Shrimp and Avocado burrito)

McDonald's CEO: 'We are not on our game' - May. 4, 2015

But what Easterbrook really wants to change is the quality of the food and stale brand image.
Get ready for more new offerings like its recent sirloin burger and artisan grilled chicken sandwich. The company also is testing beef and chicken sandwiches with flavors such as pico guacamole and jalapeno.
On the menu side, Easterbrook said the company is experimenting withnew TasteCrafted sandwiches in some California locations. Customers can choose a beef or chicken patty on one of three types of rolls and four different flavors.
Easterbrook said McDonald's may also soon feature mobile ordering, self-order kiosks or other types of technology so customers won't just be forced to go to the counter or drive-through window.
"We are adding choice, whether it's on service or the menu for our customers," he said.
Still, it remains to be seen how any of this will work. One issue that Easterbrook is trying to tackle is the complexity of the menu. There are too many offerings.
Customization may be something consumers want. But it could also make the ordering process even more complicated.
Jesus McDonald's is so fucking stupid. First of all, the artisan grilled chicken sandwich is dogshit and if they are using that as an example of what they want to do more of in the future they're doomed. Then there is the part I bolded in the second quote; on one hand they say they need to address the complexity of their menu, and on the other hand they're introducing this complicated "TasteCrafted" shit. Does not compute.

If anything, they need to simplify the hell out of their offerings and get back to making burgers, fries, shakes, and a handful of specialty items (Filet O Fish, McNuggets, etc.). People don't go to McDonald's because they want a fancy artisan sandwich made with premium ingredients. They go to McDonald's to get a good-tasting, cheap, quick meal. They need to embrace their image as a cheap-and-fast-yet-decently-tasty fast food joint instead of trying to compete with these fast-casual/sit-down places like 5 Guys and Chipotle.

*Edit* Also, bring back Mayor McCheese as a mascot and I guarantee sales to increase by at least 500%. Add Officer Big Mac for another 100 - 200% increase.

Officer Big Mac is on trial for throwing the Hamburglar in the back of a van without a seat belt on.

I agree that McDonald's needs to just go old school. Drop some prices of their normal shit and just make the menu very simple for food items. I think they actually do well with their McCafe stuff though, so they can keep that. They need to bring back the ol' 7 value meal menu. Make cheeseburgers 59 cents and double cheeseburgers a dollar and let their lower overhead make up the difference. The best time in McD's existence to me was the initial Dollar Menu. Fries, dollar. Double cheeseburger? Dollar. Coke? Dollar. Boom! Get yourself a nice setup for $5.50.

They probably can't make things like they used to, due to the health vigilantes who won't stand for high sodium, lard, and other such bullshit. We're all too aware of what goes into fast food, so McDonalds is, I think, trying too hard to accommodate those wankers. Just make it tasty. Everyone knows what's in it, and can decide for themselves to eat it or not.

Yeah, they really should just be like In-N-Out. No bullshit. Burgers, fries, and shakes.

Yeah it seems in the modern landscape the places thriving are the ones that do a small menu well instead of a large menu poorly

If the Wendys near you still serves breakfast, get the oatmeal breakfast bar. Thing is absolutely phenomenal. I'm sure it's probably closer to eating an oatmeal cookie than something healthy, but god damn does it taste good. They serve it warm, and its a little gooey/chewy. Fuck I miss those things.

All the Wendys around here stopped serving breakfast about a year ago, after only starting to serve breakfast about 3-4 years ago. Didn't last long.

You live in shitty area. Here both Wendy's and What-a-burger serve breakfast and both are amazing.

I feel bad for your taste buds.

Quick talk about some quality calories. Holy shit, Shake Shake has some calorie dense foods! It's not like their burgers or fries are huge portions, but they are calorie bombs. I had a "meal" the other day with 3 items and it was basically my entire daily intake of calories. Absolutely worth every bite though.

*Edit* Those numbers are: Calories - Carbs - Fat - Protein - Sugar - Sodium
