that's really dumb. the Taco Bell i used to work at, we would sub shredded cheese for free. the head store manager always wanted us to charge people for trivial shit like that, but i don't think he understood the mentality of the typical person who is hacking the Taco Bell menu. we got enough sales on my shifts anyway that he never gave me crap for it. guarantee if i was doing mondays instead of fridays he would have bitched more, though.
I don't know if it's still around or if you have them in your area, but the Carl's Jr El Diablo is legit spicy. Thing is stacked with jalapenos. It's probably one of the best fast food items I've ever had.
I can confirm. I got one and ate it in the car and they only gave me 1 napkin. The forehead sweat was overwhelming.

The hottest fast food item i can think of was the Habanero Quarter Pounder that McD's had for awhile.
