Still available in Washington state.I'd sell my soul for taco bell to bring back the chili cheese burrito. Have to repeat that from time to time so when the taco bell execs come to rerolled they will stop being assholes and bring it back.
Chipotle is fantastic. I can't comment specifically on the barbacoa, but the chicken, steak, and carnitas are all delicious. I doubt it will compare to authentic Mexican food, but in terms of fast food Mexican it easily tanks at the top, imo. The burritos are good, although I generally get a bowl. It's fairly expensive at like 6.25 minimum, and it goes up depending on the meat and if you get guac or other stuff with it.I hope this is fast food related, the cooking thread spurred a question:
Should I try a Chipotle's? I've had 'mexican' food all over the southwest and Mexico.
Is it cheap? Is that Barbacoa pretty good, I'm guessing? What's the hubbub, bub?
Holy balls, could you actually eat 3 burrito bowls in 1 sitting, as a normal meal? I'm a fatty mcfatterson and I'm pretty full after just 1.Chipotle is fantastic. My usual order comes out to around 8.50 I think. If it weren't so expensive I would easily get 2 or 3 bowls for lunch every day.
Back in December I ate 3 of them in one sitting. I ordered 2 first, ate them, then went back for the third. The Mexican girl making them laughed at me. I could have gone for a 4th but I didn't want to force it because at that point I was comfortably full.Holy balls, could you actually eat 3 burrito bowls in 1 sitting, as a normal meal? I can agree with the first sentence. And if you mean betterqualityfood at taco bell, I can agree with the second. I don't think Taco Bell is mexicanier than anything, but I do enjoy eating there once in awhile. And as an aside, not every hole in the wall mexican place is the holy grail of food. I've had better food at taco bell than some "authentic" mexican places.
I would agree that it's overpriced, but I don't think it's bland and it's definitely better than Taco Bell. In the end, it's still 'fast food'.I'm going to have to disagree with the posters above me. Chipotle is bland, overcooked food. Is it the worst Mexican ever? No. Is it worth the money? Also, no. I'd rather eat Taco Bell than Chipotle because at least then I'm only spending like 4 bucks.
Yeah, next up: McDonald's burgers aren't as good as the ones you make at home!Having deja vu with this thread and the discussion regarding chipotle.
