They are ice cream trucks for adults. But I'm. Sure they are popular enough that you can start a thread for them and talk about how much you love "Power Pita" with other like minded individuals.

People are talking about food in a food thread, you however keep being a douche canoe. Now stop it.

Edit: Infraction is reversed. Just stop with the hostilities and talk about food going forward.

We can call it"Tyen and Trexxes Food & Fashion Thread"

I'm here to revoke your Man Card

MN isn't Mid West, it's Northern Suck
Though the region is traditionally defined in a number of ways, the Census Bureau's definition consists of 12 states in the north central United States: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Fuckin' Ohio.

And yeah, coffee does indeed suck for the most part.

That being said, I think my favorite breakfast beverage is Simply Orange or Simply Orange/Pineapple.

Why would you need to start another thread? I think the food trucks(though i've only ever heard them call roach coaches) is perfectly fine here. Unless something has changed about them since I last ate at one.

I remember the one that used to come to construction site every day(electrician union) had amazing biscuit and gravy, and it was pretty cheap. Granted the stuff like drinks(bottled juices, soda, water) and snacks(chips, peanuts etc) were marked up, but that's paying for convenience.

I would never consider them "hipster" though.

Downtown Minneapolis lines up with about 20 of them every lunch time. Some of them are suspect hippie food but many are pretty great. I think to this day one of the best pulled pork sammiches I've had was off one down there. Only cost $7.

Exactly what earns an infraction around here? I can't have an opinion on food trucks in a thread where it's apparently okay to talk about food trucks? I mean it's going to be some riveting discussion we can all have about how if you are in town for the third Thursday of the month you should come check out Titos Tacos because they have the best Carnitas I've ever had in my life!

Oh really well Gravy to Go near me sells this turkey and mashed potatoes plate that's the best turkey and mashed potatoes plateI'veever had. FOOD TRUCKS!

FYI, I reversed your infraction 5 minutes ago. Just talk about delicious food and leave the hostilities for other places.

Also, there have been many places talked about here that are local or regional, Food Trucks are no different.

Also, Gravy and Go is an awesome name.

I dunno, I feel like if I do that then the food trucks win.

There is some honesty to my rant. Every food truck story is basically I was hungry enough to buy food prepared by God knows who from a truck I saw parked convenient to where I was and it was the best_______ ever!

The city here is pretty heavy on their regulations with them, I've seen inspectors go truck to truck at least once every few weeks. That said there are definitely ones I would avoid and addmitedly I've never been to one outside that line of them downtown.

There's a couple big name restaurants here that have their own food trucks too. I just like trying new food though and food trucks can sometimes provide something new by someone who can't afford a restaurants but can make a hell of XYZ food.

Most of the food trucks I hit up aren't no-name generic food trucks. They're branded spots - some with a brick and mortar location. Quite a few of them are pretty fucking delicious. There's an alley a few blocks away from the office that will host 3-4 trucks each day. It's high quality food close to normal fast food prices. With the fast food wait (usually).

Holy fuck you nerds need to settle the fuck down and shut yer butts.

I'm tempted to take a video of me eating 100 McNuggets in one sitting and post it here just so the community can heal.

I love food trucks. I don't see many until I get near the beach though. Never even seen a hipster variant.

The thing I dislike about food trucks is that you have to stand and eat, or sit on the ground and eat like an animal. It's fine if you're getting a hot dog or some kind of finger food, but people get shit like gourmet waffles and then crouch on the ground like god damn dogs or stand and try to gingerly balance their Styrofoam carton as they try not to break their plastic fork. I just can't enjoy eating when I have to worry that much about my surroundings and the eating process.

For example, I was at a place recently that had a waffle truck parked outside. People were milling around trying to eat these massive Belgian waffles covered in syrup and other kinds of sauces, meats, and assorted toppings with one hand as they balanced the carton in their other hand. I told my girlfriend we were going to Taco Bell instead.

That is an excellent criticism. I have only ever bought ice cream and hand food at food trucks come to think of it. I didn't think about people selling stupid shit like waffles. Figure out how to make a one handed waffle and proceed.

Holy shit, those look amazing.

Where I would eat at food trucks there were a couple thousand people milling about so I just got mine and then went back inside and ate in my break area. I can see how the standing around and eating may be difficult for some things though.
