I'm at around 45x-50x the norm.Tarrant is probably a worse supertaster than me (he got tested) but he's just not as open.

I think that's the issue with a lot of people who live in the middle of a legit city. But is it really a problem?Thai food cart by my work has finally started making things as spicy as I want, it's so hard to eat fast food when I have delicious thai food for 7 bucks.
How does one get tested?I'm at around 45x-50x the norm.
Where I get my pad thai at they've recently started asking how hot I want my dish 1-10. I generally go for 9 because that seems a good mix of spicy and flavorful. I'm somewhat reluctant to say 10 just in case they take that as a challenge.Thai food cart by my work has finally started making things as spicy as I want, it's so hard to eat fast food when I have delicious thai food for 7 bucks.
Thai place near me is the same. I always get 10 and they look shocked. Not even that hot, always looks like they just add more red chili flakes or somethin.Where I get my pad thai at they've recently started asking how hot I want my dish 1-10. I was part of a study they did at the University of Minnesota some years back. Some parts of it were neat, some parts not...like when they would mix things with vinegar and have me drink it to see if I could discern what they mixed with it.How does one get tested?
Yea, that sounds like something I'd start puking halfway through.I was part of a study they did at the University of Minnesota some years back. It wasn't pleasant at first but it was just like a table spoon at a time pretty much so it wasn't like I was chugging it.Yea, that sounds like something I'd start puking halfway through.
I've always been an extreme heat guy, even since I was a kid. I just enjoy a nice strong heat. If I'm eating for pure taste I'll get some sort of medium buffalo sauce thing - that's the best balance to heat and flavor for me. If I want to be a tough guy I go hotter, but typically I only do that to "try something out" or if there's some sort of contest like when I did a ghost pepper contest. It wasn't pleasant at first but it was just like a table spoon at a time pretty much so it wasn't like I was chugging it.
I tested (at the time) as their most sensitive taster they had ever done.
In terms of me giving shit to Noodle for his likes and dislikes, I envy him that he can eat spicy things. I love the flavors of good spicy food...but much more than medium heat will cause my tongue to swell.
Also, fuck blu cheese.
Some of the worst things for me outside of accidentally eating blu cheese are driving farm fields in the spring that are freshly manured. I can not only smell it, but taste it, and more than once I've lost my lunch over it on the side of the road. The worst thing I can remember was in southern MN, I drove by a commercial chicken farm that was across the roadfrom a commercial beet processing plant on a 95 degree day. It's been over 10 years and I can still taste it and it still makes me gag to think about it.
I can relate to all of this (fortunately didn't live near too many farms though unless I was going 'the wrong way' from civilization though) except for the swelling with hot stuff. Some of the worst things for me outside of accidentally eating blu cheese are driving farm fields in the spring that are freshly manured. funny thing, I have to get just normal white rice at Chipolte because they use too much cilantro. That sounds awful. Also glad I'm not one of those dudes who thinks cilantro tastes like soap.
