I've been to Pot Belly a couple times. It was alright. I'd still rather go to Firehouse.

We just got a McAlister's deli here. It wasn't bad, but I've only had their muffaletta so far.

Yeah, the only place I've heard Pot Belly is in this thread. We don't have them down here.

You guys are missing out. Potbelly is pretty damn good.

Potbelly vs. Firehouse is interesting! I'm not sure I would really compare them, as I picture Potbelly as more of a deli/lunch-meat style sandwich place, whereas Firehouse is more of a traditional sub shop with things like meatball and steak and cheese and whatnot.

I think we can all agree that Jimmy John's is garbage. Their biggest sandwich was barely bigger than a KFC Snacker. Fuck that.

I could of swore Pot Belly did like meatball subs too. I usually get the pizza sandwich myself.

I think Potbelly is Midwest based. We have them in Indy and I believe they made their way from Chicago.

McCalister's is very underwhelming to me. It's like Panera's. It's great if you're a woman or over 55 years old otherwise if you're seeking more than 500 calories that aren't bread and under 12 dollars, good luck. McCalister's is famous for their iced tea if that's any indication of the average patron age.

Not sure if it's just a Texas chain or what, but as far as soup + sandwich places go, McAlister's Deli is the best. Their tea is amazing as well.

Stopped at McCalisters close to closing and a guy who could be Joe Dirts double said here take all the tea you want and kept pushing free 2 gallon jugs of tea. It was odd, it was in Cheyenne WY. When I left I looked for a rusted out superbird in the parking lot, he looked that much like Joe Dirt.

Their bake potatoes are OK and some of the other soups and stuff. Never tried a sandwich there.

There really is no reason to go anywhere for a sandwich other than Publix if you live in a city with them. They are easily the best deli sandwich chain. Emphasis on chain as I'd rather go to a jew deli any day given the chance.

Idk man. We have a Jew deli here and they literally charged me $2.50 for a side of mayo and mustard with my sammy. I love the Jews, but that was a new low.

Speaking of root beer. Taking down an A&W Papa's Burger with some cheese curds right now. I always forget how good A&W burgers are. Very small town ma and pa burger joint ish.

Potbelly is amazing. Blasphemy and McCheese will hate me for saying it but I've actually been eating their salads a lot.

McDonalds now has egg mcmuffins with egg whites only. I may try one. Not a fan of eating egg yokes. Not a fan, at least in the past, of egg mcmuffins either.

Not a fan of their sausage biscuits either. I've probably ate breakfast at McDonalds 5 times in the last 10 years.
