Extra olives at Subway means 2 or 3 more olive slices. They suck. Extra olives at Publix(supermarket in Florida) means two giant fistfulls of olives!

I dunno, looks like a lot of meat in there too. But isn't the whole point of a hoagie that there's a shitload of bread?
Maybe Hoagie has some specific definition that I'm unaware of, but if we tackle this scientifically, let's say you've got 2 inches of meat/cheese/veg in that sandwich. You've got at least 5 inches of bread and it's probably shit bread too.

So 2 inches + 5 inches + math = potato, aka too much bread.

Yeah, the amount of meat looks pretty good. I love me some bread and carbs, so I don't usually bitch about too much bread.
I love bread as much as I love you, which is to say immensely... but it has to be good bread and the ratio is important!

Potbelly will let you order "big" sandwiches with more meat and toppings, and "skinny" bread which is like 30% less bread. This is the golden ratio in my opinion. Jimmy John's has a good ratio of meat to bread as well. Subway is too much bread for me.

Make these, it's easy and hell and they're like sandwich crack:
Baked Ham and Cheese Party Sandwiches Recipe - Allrecipes.com

My wife has made them several time for parties and they get absolutely devioured
I'm confused, or maybe my reading comprehension is busted this morning.

That recipe says you load the bread up with ham and swiss cheese, that's cool. Then it says put the tops of the buns back on, and then top with the mustard mixture.

But none of the pictures show these sandwiches with crazy toppings on them, they all look like normal sandwiches. The mustard mixture doesn't go inside the sandwich? On top, and it just cooks off?

I feel like it's telling me to load up the sandwich, then dump a bunch of sauce on top of the bread.. that doesn't seem right.

I feel so dumb this morning...

Yeah, you brush the sauce on top of the buns. It's basically a butter sauce that soaks into the bun & browns nicely in the oven, but with some extra spices added for flavoring(onion, poppy seed, etc) The sauce ends up being like 75% butter, 25% the other stuff for some added flavor. It's not like you're brushing pure mustard on or anything(which would obviously go inside if you did that).

So just ham&cheese inside, and then the bun ends up being a super soft, buttery bun with nice extra flavor added.

The buns almost end up with what looks like a glaze on top of them, they're REALLY good.

Gotcha. I guess I should have figured the sauce wasn't a thick sauce. Thanks for helping me out this morning joeboo!

Also, don't worry about portioning out small amounts of ham & cheese on each individual bun. If you pack the buns into the pan, just slap whole chunks of ham & cheese across multiple buns. It all melts together and they have to be cut apart anyways, so just cut them apart after they bake.

Wife doesn't want the work of making a ton of them for a party, but we will make it next week for just us at home. We are cooking up a holiday honey ham we've had in the freezer for a while this weekend. The leftovers will be used in this recipe!

Taco Bell's Steak A.M Crunchwrap is delicious.
Kind of surprised yours is the only review of the new breakfast stuff since it went live today.

I thought about grabbing some tomorrow morning, but all the crunchwraps are like 600-700 calories. Everything else on the breakfast menu looks more reasonable (outside of the Cinnabon things), but I'm waiting on reviews of whether they're awful first.

It's funny how half the people in that AMA are asking questions related to being stoned or high. When marijuana legalization becomes national, Taco Bell really needs to utilize that.

I've seen breakfast at the Taco Bell near my house for a while. Was it part of a test market to see if people like it, and just assumed it was everywhere? Today is when it went official at every location?
