Maybe Hoagie has some specific definition that I'm unaware of, but if we tackle this scientifically, let's say you've got 2 inches of meat/cheese/veg in that sandwich. You've got at least 5 inches of bread and it's probably shit bread too.I dunno, looks like a lot of meat in there too. But isn't the whole point of a hoagie that there's a shitload of bread?
I love bread as much as I love you, which is to say immensely... but it has to be good bread and the ratio is important!Yeah, the amount of meat looks pretty good. I love me some bread and carbs, so I don't usually bitch about too much bread.
I can only handle confrontation on the internet. In real life I'm a very meek person so I could never do what you suggested.Should've just said "I didn't order double meat." Worst case they made you a new sandwich.
I'm confused, or maybe my reading comprehension is busted this morning.Make these, it's easy and hell and they're like sandwich crack:
Baked Ham and Cheese Party Sandwiches Recipe - Allrecipes.com
My wife has made them several time for parties and they get absolutely devioured
Gotcha. I guess I should have figured the sauce wasn't a thick sauce. Thanks for helping me out this morning joeboo!Yeah, you brush the sauce on top of the buns. It's basically a butter sauce that browns nicely in the oven, but with some extra spices added for flavoring(onion, poppy seed. The sauce ends up being like 75% butter, 25% the other stuff for some added flavor. It's not like you're brushing pure mustard on or anything(which would obviously go inside if you did that).
So just ham&cheese inside, and then the bun ends up being a super soft, buttery bun with nice extra flavor added.
Wife doesn't want the work of making a ton of them for a party, but we will make it next week for just us at home. We are cooking up a holiday honey ham we've had in the freezer for a while this weekend. The leftovers will be used in this recipe! Also, don't worry about portioning out small amounts of ham & cheese on each individual bun. If you pack the buns into the pan, just slap whole chunks of ham & cheese across multiple buns. It all melts together and they have to be cut apart anyways, so just cut them apart after they bake.
Kind of surprised yours is the only review of the new breakfast stuff since it went live today.Taco Bell's Steak A.M Crunchwrap is delicious.
