Jerry's red beans and Rice.

I'd almost take a shot in the mouth for a lifetime supply of Popeye's, almost.

Fried chicken is awesome and I love Popeyes fries. People should fuck off. Also surprisingly my Louisiana friends tell me their red beans and rice is good too.

Jerry Rice causes controversy after wearing Popeyes helmet with chicken facemask

People giving Jerry shit for this commercial because it reinforces racial stereotypes. I always thought that the fried chicken thing was the dumbest stereotype ever. Is there anyone that doesn't like fried chicken? (Cue one of our supertasting faggots saying that fried chicken is disgusting).

Well yeah everyone loves fried chicken that's not in question. It's just black people have a built in radar in their brains to find the closest fried chicken place were everyone else has to use an app on their phone to find a fried chicken place.

Living in an area with significant black presence, I can honestly say the black-fried chicken thing is real. Their love for it transcends simply liking a tasty thing. And their behavior towards it is an outlier compared to everything else. Granted they do get animated in ways a white doesn't, but again to chicken it's another level.

But on topic, Grand Mac has my seal of approval. The size increase Improves the distribution. The sauciness is a delight.
An important thing to note is the bread and patties are just for it. It's not a quarter pounder with Mac setup.
It's a thin patty as original, but with a much greater diameter. It's big and filling, and you know how I put down.
5.5/10

If not mistaken, they are still not the same patties, even if of the same weight.
If not mistaken, they are less thick but wider round.
They fit their bun, which tightly fills a new and wider box.

Boggles the mind why they didnt just throw the quarter pounder paties on a big mac and priced accordingly.

Imma actually ask them to make this for me next time i go.

A normal big mac is 2 1/10 lb patties. The grand mac is 2 1/6 lb patties. So ya special patty. Seems weird to make a special patty just for 1 menu item though. The standard 1.6 oz is used in everything else but the quarter pounder.

I'm disappointed with the grand mac. I thought it needed more meat and it has it, but they also made the bun bigger so the meat/bread ratio seemed about the same. I think a regular big Mac with 1/4 lb patties would have been better.

The red beans and rice at Popeyes are the shit.

To this day the best hamburger they ever had was the McDLT. I was never big on their burgers at all but that one I liked. You would think that in 30 years they'd have revisited it at least once.

Going back to the classyness of the simple bean burrito at taco bell.

On a whim tried the $1 cheesy bean and rice burrito.... oh mama. I love my beefy 5 layer and that's still king, but I might get this more if just adding sour cream keeps it way cheaper.
I think they changed something at some point, instead of the plain bright yellow fake cheese, it was more orange and was like seasoned/spiced. Definitely I'm feeling too jew-ey to want to eat out but circumstances demand I do list.

I posted a month or two ago that when I was younger I use to think anyone who got a classic taco bell bean burrito was the dumbest shit on earth. Now I get two with every TB meal. Love em.

The McDLT made more sense back then, because they still did the thing where it was still "fast" food. They'd prepare the burgers ahead of time and send them down the little chutes, so your burger might have been sitting there for a few minutes at least (if not longer). Nowadays it's pointless, because with all the options and willingness to do things your way, fast food places more or less make things as you order.
