I don't like the coffee from a french press. Too much of the coffee's oil is retained, changing the texture of the drink. Steam is the best way to make coffee.
That said, the stuff I've been drinking this week from the Keurig is not bad. Anyone have favourite keurig cups? I tend to like bold flavours.

No shit, this is supposed to be the unpretentious food thread and this coffee talk is pretentious as fuck. I'm going to have to go make some folgers in my drip machine to get the taste out of my mouth.

So I'm a massive fan of Twix, it's easily the best candy bar ever created (possibly battling for that spot with Nutrageous, but that's a topic for another post). Anyway, I got a couple King Size Peanut Butter Twix's last night and I was horribly disappointed. IthinkI've had the PB version before, but I couldn't really remember. I don't know what it is, but the flavor just didn't work well, and I was horribly disappointed at wasting my 3 dollars. I'm convinced there is no possible way to improve on Twix.

Bro. PB TwixWEREmy favorite candy bar every created. Were.

They fucking changed the recipe! Why? Now it has the normal cookie part of a regular twix and some creamier, much shittier peanut butter. Before it was a thick peanut butter on chocolate cookie.

They done fucked it up bad.

Also, several years ago we had that Peanut Butter salmonella outbreak and they changed their recipe. Pre-breakout was the best time to have a PB Twix. 2 full iterations later and I'm finding myself looking for a new candy bar.

That would explain my confusion with the PB Twix. I must have have had it back when they had the original recipe, because I could have sworn I'd eaten them before and enjoyed them.

Also, a quick first world problems (fast food edition) note: when you open your Laffy Taffy and it's stuck to the inside of the wrapper so you have to gnaw it out of the packaging like an animal.

Also I haven't been able to confirm it, but I think after the massive salmonella outbreak PB M&M's changed their recipe. I remember them being god-tier, now they're just great.

I really like the Twix Ice Cream bar. My favorite candy bar is probably Snickers Munch. They don't look like much but fuck they are delicious.

I'm no coffee snob by a loooonnng damn ways. I only drink it at work and when I moved into a different position the guys in my new area had a Keurig maker so I started picking up different brands to try. I got some Gevalia's Dark Royal Roast because it was on sale and I've stuck with it ever since. It's fairly bold. I only make the next to largest size cups though, which affects the flavor intensity.

I always hated their damn commercials though.

I love Take 5s also, pretzel in my candy bar is awesome. I could eat a metric fuckton of chocolate covered pretzels and/or peanut butter filled pretzels too. The whole salty-sweet thing, I suppose.

Always a fan of Reese's Fast Breaks myself. So much peanut butter.

But now I'm a snob about that too. Toblerone, Ghiradelli, Lindt, or the delicious candy bars from Trader Joe's are what I go for now. I don't really eat candy that much though. I just steal it from a co-worker who has the most ridiculous candy drawer you've ever seen.
