I doubt super tasting has anything to do with you disliking blue cheese. I know tons of normals who can't stand the taste of blue cheese because of its overpowering flavor.I don't think most things taste terrible like he seems to, and my tastebuds are much stronger than his. I just accept that things may be too intense for me and move on.
The only thing that really pisses me off that I don't like is Blue Cheese....because it's in so much phenomenal food and it overpowers everything it's in. I wish I could like/appreciate it.![]()
Every single calorieI adore blue cheese. A while ago I bought a big block of it to use for cooking a fancy ass Italian dish, and while I had some other stuff cooking I sat down in front of the TV and started nibbling off the corners. Before I knew it, I had eaten the whole block and didn't even want to finish cooking. My friend says blue cheese smells like feet, but I can't get enough of it.
This is exactly the kind of dish I was trying to prepare. I was trying to recreate Olive Garden's Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo. Absolutely delicious. Without the cheese I basically just ended up with fettuccine alfredo with sauteed spinach.Bleu Cheese in a cream sauce over the right kind of pasta is bloody delicious.
Or replace Bleu Cheese with Gorgonzola. That shit's delicious. You just have to use the right amount so as to not over power the dish.
Gorgonzola Alfredo is a snap to make if you go full on unhealthy and don't care. Reduce heavy whipping cream in a pan until it's the consistency you like, then add your cheese, some nutmeg, salt and pepper. Toss with your pasta and pour on your steak. Delicious. It's what places like Olive Garden do. It's easy to do to order, doesn't take long (with a gas stove), and is crazy delicious. This is exactly the kind of dish I was trying to prepare.
