Going back and looking at a picture of Eddie (had forgotten what he looked like), I think it's Earth-2 Eddie also.
Still doesn't bring up why he would spell out Jay of all people though. There is definitely going to be a twist that deals with a main character.

Maybe it's Earth 1 Eddie who was somehow brought back to life when his body was sucked through the rift and that's how Zoom knows there was another earth on the other side. Granted that would make it impossible for him to know who Jay was, but who cares!
Seriously though, I think there will be more that Jay was keeping a secret beyond just Velocity 6 being the reason he lost his power. Hell maybe the whole thing was a setup to get Caitlin to develop Velocity 9 for Zoom.

earth2 shit has me on edge, anyone from there can die there. zoom is completely uber. im glad they didnt show them climbing the ice steps, dont need any velk's lab flashbacks anytime soom. i never once made it across that fucking bridge. seriously great episode. i figured jay was gonna get sucked back in when he was standing in front of the rift.

If Jay is somehow working with Zoom...there has been quite a bit of time when hes been back on Earth 2...like when he left because he wouldnt help Barry fight Zoom because he wasnt ready, so he could have met Ronnie (in the mask man) during those times.

Thats true, but taking the Meta route...they have no where announced the return of Rick Coslet (which is something they would do, hell they announced the casting of Wally West before the season began). Im just really hoping its not Jay being evil, that just seems a little to deja vu from last season..Mentor finds Barry and tries to make him better only to find out hes really an enemy trying to kill or destroy the flash.

The fact that he's locked up and has a mask at all *should* be clues.
Jay could be working with Zoom the same way Wells was and the masked man is someone close to Jay. And reason he's even wearing a mask indicates he's a meta who's power is activated by speech

That is sound reasoning and works with my theory that Jay could have been developing Velocity 9 for Zoom.

other, options for speaking.. Big one. Captain marvel.. which would be AMAZING if they did.. but is clearly not. Also, to be best, would have to be clearly a kid. A similar thing was done in Forever Evil with E3 Marvel, being Alexander Luther..

how about this, suppose that really is jay, the same jay all this season, when zoom grabbed him at the end of this episode, maybe he went back in time set up the cave lair and stuck jay in there so he wouldnt get in his way and jay has been sitting there all this time, cept now he is an old man?

This whole thing annoys me. First, a POW code system? Give me a fucking break. He can see Barry and the chick. He knows they can see him. Assuming this special glass that can't be frozen doesn't smear like every other fucking glass does when you put your grubby hands all over it, he still can't draw letters on the glass? Or try to make shapes with his fingers? Or dip his finger in his own shit and write on the glass? Charades maybe? Or something?
And then of course he spells J-A-Y. Not I AM JAY or ZOOM IS JAY or even motherfucking POINTS TO HIMSELF or makes a zoomy motion or anything even remotely fucking helpful. I guess a couple of extra letters is just far too much effort, 3 letters is all he can muster. If you're that fucking retarded, I daresay you don't actually deserve to be rescued.

Yeah you're right, I guess the "only person smarter than Wells" just sat there and listened to that dude knock for days and days and never thought to ask him to try something else. And same with Barry, who was there for however many hours as well.

I don't actually remember Wells ever saying that about her, I think Barry just made that up because she lost hope. And it was Barry who recognized the POW tap code (which is a real thing btw), she was the one who gave him the clue he needed by breaking it down into 5s. And you're nitpicking at Lyrical levels right now.
