By your logic im pretty sure Barry or Oliver could use a dildo and you would find a way to justify it

I guess they could remove the eyes of state farm girl and send her to regular prison.

you guys are going to make me start taking crazy medicine. jesus stop with the speculation, do you see anyone going crazy or starving or shitting on the floor because of a star labs cell? no you dont. at the end of last season of arrow did anyone cry for poor slade sitting in a prison cell under a deserted island? unless you see these guys doing those things you are imagining, then dont worry about it. cisco has them all frozen cryogenically with his cold gun. move on.
It's just so fucking irrelevant if we get to see people taking a shit or having their dinner or watching TV.

Just assume they do get fed and have some form of interaction, maybe they have a playroom or some shit, who fucking cares people.

Exactly what I was thinking. Yeah I used the "it's a comic book" excuse but it really just boils down to the fact I don't give a shit about those details. This is one of my favorite shows right now.

I also don't understand what he expects them to do with people who can teleport, turn into smoke, etc.

Why are youfuckwitsbutts* focusing on the physical jail and shitting and dinner? That's irrelevant. The point is that they are acting as judge and jury. No due process, no attempts to rehabilitate, they just decided these people should be in a cell forever. Done. Not super American(in theory).

That's why with the teleporter chick they should really take the opportunity to at least mention that they're working to rehabilitate her. Since of all the villains she's the one that seems like she could be "fixed" and it would, with almost no effort or screentime, show that they are doing more than just sticking their problems in a box.

But it'sreallynot an important thing in terms of enjoying the show. Just a little side thing that is worth discussing to pass the time.

*fuckwits was too mean, sorry fellas!

So in the latest episode we know that was future Barry's blood on the wall, and not Wells.

If you go by the Comic timeline this is what happened

Dark Flash is Walter West. An alternate timeline Wally West who was driven mad/dark by the death of his love LINDA PARK who, as we all now know is dating BARRY ALLEN in the CW show. If the show will change something like that it doesn't seem much of a stretch to me that they would make older Barry a murderer.

thats fine to discuss. because its based off of stuff that happened in the show and not what people are imagining might happen.
personally, i think barry and the crew would have a problem with keeping these guys in a cell indefinitely, but wells has them convinced it is their best option. general kurgan would snatch them up if the public knew about their powers and tried to hold a trial. even if they were being held at star labs while the trial was going on, general kurgan could go in there and snatch up state farm and the smoke guy and he would be able to do it legally. the other scenario is if the trial ended with those guys being found innocent, what then? do you open the door and just let a dangerous supercriminal go free?

or if found guilty do you send them to a a normal prison where they could easily escape? do they have a sentence they can serve and then walk free? do they get a lawyer? cuz a lawyer would shit their pants with rage if he saw how his client's rights were being violated like this. its all fucked up and the best option as shitty as it is, is to keep these guys right where they are. we all know they are building up to them escaping anyway. wells might be the one to let them out. he sent girder to his death, he would not hesitate to do the same with the others if need be.

In the first episode they showed they didn't give a damn about 'americanism' by having joe and his partner break and enter, get righteously shot, and acting like the bad guy had done something wrong. I've actually been pleased that the only thing rustling my jimmies since then is the illegal and immoral incarceration. I agree I wish they'd burn one or 2 lines on rehabilitation.

You guys are funny. Due process is a tool for a society of like individuals. The rules go out the window when your "criminals" transcend humanity (and in this case, in very dangerous ways). It doesn't matter one bit if they were once human, they aren't anymore. You kind of just play the case-by-case game, and do whatever you think is best for people at large.

Yeah that's a great point. Like individuals. Orientals aren't like me, so they don't get due process if I think one of them messed up. Thanks for the pro-tip, psychopath.

Simmer down son. Metahumans are a brand new thing, so they don't have anything like Belle Reve to send them to. It seems likely that they will address the prison issue at some point in the series, although my guess is it won't be brought up until next season.

We already designate people as 'enemy combatants' to deny them due process and other rights, are you honestly telling me you dont think we'd basically do the exact same thing if metahumans started appearing in the real world? If people like Blackout and Girder suddenly appeared in America tomorrow, you better fuckin believe they wouldn't get any due process.

What about ATM-man, whose super power is making ATMs give him free money ? Double tap to the head, unmarked grave ? ;p

Is there any reason you'd treat him any differently than, say, a hacker that got ATMs to give them free money ?

Speaking of a lack of Belle Reve...where the hell is Amanda Waller with all these metahuman nutjobs showing up? You would think this might fall under her purview and additionally she might salivate at the idea of a teleporter on her Suicide Squad.

ATM-man could be held in a normal prison cell, unlike most of the metahumans on the show, who would require special accommodations. Which does bring up the question of why Pied Piper was locked up at Star Labs, other than that the plot needed him to be there.

I can't remember, did he figure out Barry was the Flash, or am I confusing him with someone else?
