He's probably on Earth 2.

I figured that is why they did it the way they did it. He disappeared so if his film career flops or he gets some free time or whatever he can easily pop back in.

CGI on Atom Smasher wasn't just bad, it was fucking weird. Him getting all rubbery instead of like...big...was a strange decision. Maybe cast a guy with some muscle definition in the first place?

Still enjoyed the episode, Cisco with the cops was good stuff.

Edge used to have muscle definition, but all of his injuries over the years have made it so he can't train like that any more.

Really enjoyed the episode. I don't understand why Henry Allen jetted out from a in-character or meta perspective. With Dr. Wells gone there is a bit of a void that I thought Henry Allen could fill, and John Wesley Shipp stole every scene he was in.

The only thing I could think of is they just didn't want another character hanging around unless they have some super secret plan for him. Or he just wasn't available for more then a jail cameo here and there.

Tom Cavaganh is listed as a series regular for season 2...Wells will be back, maybe an earth 2 wells that is transported to earth 1 somehow?
Martin Stein will be moving to Legends of Tomorrow and merging with Jason Rush

So I guess they will use the portal for awhile to do monster of the week.

Sand Demon was a Firestorm villain in the comics.

Also Black gate is the prison in Gotham since they name dropped it in this episode.
