Think Zoom may be an alternate earth of Barry's dad since he was released from prison. He has to have an important plot in the storyline since he was released. I can see him sacrificing himself or dying by the hands of Zoom causing Barry to power up. Would be really interesting if Zoom would be an alternate earth Barry.

I don't know anything about Cisco/Vibe's power beyond what I've seen on the show, but unless he just astral projects, it sort of feels like he is viewing through an alternate version of himself. If that is true, he would have to be Zoom to have seen the interaction with Atom Smasher. And could have been Zoom lurking about watching Sand Demon to see how things played out.

I could very well be wrong about that though, and he just sees things because comics. Also, if he is Zoom, he really beefed up in the alternate dimension, so that might be a point against it as well.

EDIT: And in all seriousness, you might be right, but since they are purposely not showing his face, there is a good chance it is because it is someone we already know. If he were a new bad guy, we'd have probably seen him by now.

Vibe in comics originally, was sonic vibrations. this extended to seismic vibrations. And breakdancing. Essentially a sonic version of Marvel's Dazzler with light.
Seriously, the breakdancing was his main power/point of existence.
New 52 reboot made him more of a superhero. And gave him a large powerup. His powers were now from being caught in a Boom Tube. Now cosmically powered, molecular vibration. can track/use boom tubes, counter speedforce, and tear anything apart.
here they use "Vibe" in reference to a feeling or premonition. they will likely then explain it as quantum entanglement, and him seeing through that connection.

Watched with my GF last night and two things stood out, her saying "Why is Sandman from Spiderman in a DC show?" and holy shit, he really did just kill that guy didn't he? You can't turn glass back into sand I didn't think, so he'd actually be dead and Barry a murderer.

And you think Atom Smasher survived his over dose of radiation how?
I mean really, this isnt the first Metahuman Barry has killed...
and Murder is a strong word, I mean I would say self defense and even if not the most it would be is wrongful death

So anyone catch the awesome touch when Barry/Jay jogged up to check on Ladycop? They had them perfectly in sync, but mirrored. So Barry's left arm/leg were in sync with Jay's right arm/leg as they came around opposite sides of the pillar. And they kneeled in the exact/opposite position.

Nice little touch.

I think you probably lose the right to argue self defense after spending several days tracking them down and then breaking and entering before confronting them. I mean, without superpowers it's "He attacked me last week, so I hunted him down, kicked in the door and shot him in the face, pure self defense !'
