UhhhhhhhAnd it seems like chlamydia goes around like crazy.
And because I thought they are probably way safer than white girls, I often didn't.

Damn you sound like a needy little wiener.Shit Dabamf, you asked me a long ass time ago if I I'm still in Korea and I never answered. Yes, I am. This past summer I met a girl (the one pictured) and we had something of a whirlwind relationship. I'll spoiler it for serious livejournalry (seriously, there's a novel under here):
In that 2nd pic she looks like wax that has begun to melt.Actually no, she wasn't the umbrella type, thank god. She was fairly westernized. I don't know exactly how long she was in SF, but I know she went to Penn State for her undergrad, so she wasn't exactly new to the big scary Western world. Conversely, I was the first non-Korean she had been with in any fashion. She had had boyfriends in America but they were all Korean American. She's a weird mix of Western and Eastern.
We never had penis-in-vagina intercourse, but I did melt some pearls on her tummy, in the words of Roger Smith. It was mildly frustrating but since I actually cared for her it wasn't a big deal.
I'll stay here for the foreseeable future. The job I have now is really really good, everything about it is awesome except the caveat with pretty much all teaching jobs here: no upward mobility. It's hard to leave, though. In the past few months I've got a bunch of private lessons, which are just silly. 50 bucks an hour to casually chat with someone either in my home, their home or a coffee shop is hard to scoff at. I even have one where I do the same (free conversation) but for 4 people at a dental clinic and I charge them 100 for the hour lol. I got my drum set here too and I'll start teaching/overcharging for that as well. So yea, it's hard to leave.
And since I'm yapping about myself again, here's more Koreans in various states of undress. The girl on the right in the duo and the girl covering her face in the mirror are the same chick.
Wife got a job teaching ESL. Let's me be a stay at home dad for a year or two while she works which is nice. Only real downside is Oman is 5000 miles from anywhere people want to build shit so I can't really play DOTA2 or anything like that. Plus most of the women out here, even if you get them to uncover themselves, are just plain nasty. A couple hundred generations of inbreeding will do that I suppose.Zehn, what are you doing in Oman?!
I second this advice. Move out there, rent a place and see what happens. Worst case scenario the relationship fizzles out, but at least you get several months of job experience to put on the resume. Just don't do anything that would tie you to that area longterm until you are sure about the relationship. As someone with a Computer Engineering degree that just got back from a business trip to Palo Alto, I understand not wanting to live up there. So, my advice there would be to rent, not buy. You're not sure about the relationship...you're not sure about living in California, so buying doesn't make sense to me. With that said, based on the girls I went through my ECE program with, you can probably do better. If you REALLY want to be with her, moving to silicon valley isn't the worst thing in the world. But it doesn't sound like you're certain about her and you will always blame her anytime you're sitting in traffic for 2 hours trying to get home, which isn't healthy.
Yeah, I will rent for sure. All of my labmates bought houses when they moved for their jobs in Portland, Austin, etc., so I just kind of expected to do the same. Living a nomadic lifestyle for another couple of years will suck when you're paying $2k/month for a studio in Mountain View all the while. As someone with a Computer Engineering degree that just got back from a business trip to Palo Alto, I understand not wanting to live up there. Hah, I know what you mean. Luckily, she grew up in a country that has a lot of social pressure to go into engineering or medicine, but she has also lived here since high school, so she's basically a normal girl unlike the american girls in ECE, who yeah, tend to be trolls. I guess I should note after that statement that her family knows about me, and her siblings all married outside their race. I could state the things I like about her physically and personality-wise, but they would be biased. With that said, based on the girls I went through my ECE program with, you can probably do better.
You fucked her in the butt bro, you're safe. Here is the weird part...
When we are done she asked if I had a condom on to which I said yes (I did). She says "Thank god". I don't make anything of it. She looks around for it and asked again, "Are you sure you had one on?!" "Yes, I did I threw it somewhere". At this point she is furiously looking for it and starts saying promise me you did. Holy fuck yes, why does it even matter? "Because I have something, It's not HIV or anything" I shake my head and fall asleep on her snoring stomach. Jesus.
