Yeah kinda how I feel. Started to do him, saw how long it was gonna take with mnk/zerk/clr and feign/bazaar'd. That shit just isnt fun. Heard fights in VT take an eon too and it was VT that made me quit to begin with. Might just sit it out until POP.

I got a good clickie in Temple and a better belt than dwarf slaying. I didn't feel any fight was longer than Sleeper on my SK/ROG/Wiz.

Found greater curse cleanse for my zerk/mnk/clr but even when I cured the curse with the lower version it felt like white dmg was just absolute shit on him (2h bane weapon). Tried it with SK/RNG/ROG and soon as the curse landed it was game over.

It’s because white damage is somewhat bugged on him and flurry (not sure about other bonus attack types) doesn’t work. It doesn’t get the bane modifier and is therefore resisted.

took me forever to kill him on my mnk/clr/ber. So long in fact that my avatar wore off. That’s an 8 min buff. Having to stop and clear curse every minute was a pain too. For reference, Kera took me around 90 seconds on average last week.

I doubt I’ll ever do emp again now that I have PoP flag done. The loot isn’t any better than Kera and BB really and so not worth doing

edit: that symp heal 7 shield is from arch lich in Ssra. He’s kind of a pain to trigger the spawn, but you gotta do him anyways if you want greater remove curse spell

that bramblecoat item is decent, but the living thorns belt from Tunare is better. Spikecoat clicky is all/all and spikecoat is slightly better ac and more damage shield

So first time playing since luclin launch just did a couple of sleeper kills while deciding what to "main" going in... and it sounds like I should stick with shm/nec/sk so I can ignore the bane weapon shit, at least until the prices on the weapons come down? my necro only does like 3% of his dmg as white dmg so it really doesn't matter.


as far as curse goes what classes get a cure curse?

So I spent the greater part of the day fucking around in the Temple of snakes. Going in there blind, I had to figure out the keys and shit, the floors etc...But got 2 raid bosses down, the Creator and the Arch Lich, which didnt drop shit. Nothing of note anyway. EZ mobs but they have like double the HP of the Velious NTOV shit, I swear. Then I tried the Emp without the bane shit and got spanked in like 30 sec. All I need is the stupid ore crap. I went into a respawning zone first, which I should have checked, but didnt, then spawned a no-respawn zone to get my bag and check out the nameds and bosses. But the skellies didnt have any named up, and if they were up they did not drop any ores. So i have to go back, loool or just buy it if its not 50K or some stupid shit people like to do. At least I know that palce now.

From the map, there seems to be another raid mob in the basement, but I have no clue on how to spawn him. Anyone have any clue?

Vyzh`dra the Cursed (Cursed Cycle) Raid Guide | EQProgression This is the one in the basement, you go kill 10 named mobs in the basement within 15ish minutes of each other to spawn it, the link has a map of where they are.

it's a free AA rogues get at 50, every time you use backstab you give yourself a temp buff called Lethality. it's basically a permanent buff you will always have up if you use the backstab skill:

I travel on planes and pass the time listing to Zadie's pod casts. VT was going to be a city, they repurposed it at the last minute.

SoL was rushed and the company was turning over, going through many changes. They had very green developers trying to do the best they could do. All while Sony just wanted to print money. Imagine how great it could have been if you didn't have people with no clue and a cash cow mentality.

It just feels like the whole thing was rushed. Like i said, uninspired zones mobs all over the fucking place...It has no feeling like the past 2 expansions had.

How long does it take to clear PoG for Tunare, when fully geared? I started to clear it once, fairly early into Velious, and noped the fuck out after 15 min or so...

Finished Vex Thall. 1 shot every boss in pretty much full Velious gear. Took like 5+ hours.

Don't think I will be doing that again. Probably taking a break till PoP.
