My guy didn't make it an hour in VT again last night. I'm not sure exactly what's happening, but my best guess my shitty internet connection is fucking up more than normal. It was having disconnect issues the other night and have had similar issues before, when I tried playing WoW again, some years ago (I basically stopped online gaming after that).
It's such good xp and it looked really smooth the times I have sat there babysitting it while simi-afk. If I could get it to work for even 3 or 4 hours, it would be better than switching to DN.
If anyone else wants to try Vex Thal , here is the spot I am trying. My Mage pet is fairly close to BiS and have over 2000 AA. I don't think AA would change much, once over 1200-1500 though.
The key to the front door is on the first rock boss in non-respawning, otherwise can just illusion or sometime just duck/stand spam to get through it.
Run to first boss room using invulnerability shield (click off if needed, once in room), flop, then port to Baz as soon as you flop to reset agro faster.
My toon stands on the red dot and pets are set to "guard" on yellow spots.

Yeah even at 1000 AA now I feel like I have 80-90 percent of worthwhile shit. At this point I’m gonna keep doing it every day just to max out in case I switch classes around and need more AA.
I’ll give this spot a whirl out of curiosity (I do have a good connection) but my outcome might be the same BUT bard songs do make pets way tankier.
I feel like I can leave bst/mag pet alone with way worse shit now than I could without bard.

I was kinda thinking of switching to bard too. When looking at what the necro adds, all I could really see atm if the two slots for utility or dps proc weps on the pet and the haste/stats pet buff, since pets don't have a haste cap (supposedly). I'm not sure the 8 DoTs always rolling is better than MAG nuke spam with the bard 30% spell buff song.
I've seen people say necros get some good buffs in PoP though, so not sure it's worth switching now. Especially when I am afk XPing just to level up items (will be nice to get it to work, but if not, oh well).

Did you delevel to 55 before parking him? Makes a huge difference if you're 60. I haven't had to do this in over a week and it may be the adjusted ZEM that keeps you well below an overnight 100 AA.

IDK, I have been still clearing trash in VT at 60 because still need AA and of course leveling up items. I have not really paid attention to actual NUMBERS of AA per run, but you get a SHIT load of them at 60, and this is not even a respawning zone either so one and done. If i had to guess maybe 60-75AA per run maybe more? with the 50% exp thing? Plus its the highest ZEM at 2.8 in the game. Trash is EZ as fuck, some of that shit just folds over when I look at it now. My parser says anywhere from 30K-45K health. Of course I skip the first two area and other trash I dont need to kill on my way to bosses.
I can skip the shit just fine with my ghetto SK AA feign death and AA to make it better, but I find it therapeutic for some reason to grind trash in this game, call me fucking weird.

Yeah it’ll be a crap shoot if necro is the king in PoP or not. Easy enough to switch back if need be.
I was kinda annoyed at casting all the DoTs. Playing bard im actually meleeing and having a bit of fun with that (yah i know I could have meleed as beastlord also.) just 3-4 buttons to press. Bard songs minus damaging ones staying up constantly with one cast is super sweet.
it was a very easy swap - sold necro epic for 55k, bought bard epic for 35k, bought a staff of the silent star and gharns cheap and very quickly legendary’d them.

LOl i never bothered to level any of that rogue shit up.
Knowing now what I didnt back then I should have mad a macro of some kind but I didnt. I did that with my monk character from the beginning and made sure to spam it every battle and his FD and sneak is 200+(max for level)
Hey man I have not played this shit on 20+ yrs. It takes a while. This game is got a shti ton of stuff to re-learn.

Nay. No reason to go back to 55, especially when I’m leaving him AFK every day.
At 60 in DN I’m already getting anywhere from 50-150 AA a day if you count being AFK during work, sleeping, going out, etc
Deleveling to 55 wouldn’t be worth it in my situation to pay that money. I’m already on track to cap out AA not that long and there isn’t a ton even worth buying.
also I think now that I’ve got bard going I can cap out to 100 fast in VT if I find the right spot.

Wat?!? No mobs in the game can see rogue sneak/hide (that I have found so far). SK/Nec Feign Death fucking sucks and easily the worst skip on the server. You can even use them all together to almost instantly drop combat and move around unseen at any time by Feign Death > Escape > sneak > hide.LOl i never bothered to level any of that rogue shit up.

It's real easy to level. Make a macro (or just use the macro in the screenshot below and manually turn autoattack back on once sneak/hide are on cooldown), then use it to skill up while in combat:
/attack off
/doability 1
/doability 2
/pause 2
/attack on
That has Sneak on button 1 and Hide on button 2 on the 6 button action box down in the corner (alt-m).
Here is what a normal sneak/hide macro looks like. You must make sure you are successfully sneaking before hiding is the only quirk of sneak/hide.

YEah thats the thing I dont understand, I went to the discord and people were like "you need more AA!!" when I said I was having trouble with the Sleeper. Anyway I was looking at my list and shure, therer is shit like healing crap, (dont use heals) spell shit that I never use (like subtlety and anti aggro stuff), tons of pet crap too which I also never use because they are so low level, they jsut die at the whiff of a AE. So I was sitting here and thinking what AA? all the important stuff has already been purchased.

Yeah thats essentially what I did for the monk. Just too lazy lol, but I will do this ASAP because it works.
Also here is a question fort all of you monks out there, WTF do you do when you run out of those Action boxes in your little actions window? Monk has so many skills, paired with other classes that get their own too, I have not figured out a way to get more of them, is there?

Put them on your hot bar? You can change those buttons and add more skills to your hot bar. Hot bar icons and that action window icons are not linked.

But how do you deal with the hotbar and macros then? Since the macros /doability are linked to the actions window. Is there a way to link macros to hotbars? If so how? I have like 5 hotbars now, lol.

The problem with the monk is hes got so many fucking punches and kicks I have a few macroed, but cant macro the others because I ran out of abilities menu. And you have to macro theose fuckers or else you get carpel tunnel. Do you monks just not use some of them? I asked on discord and they said only use the ones that have AA. But never having played a monk EVER I have no clue which have AAs.

you do realize that you only use the highest ranked punch and kick, right? they are on the same cooldown so you can only use 1.
so the monk has 2 specials, same as Beserker (Frenzy, rage volley) compared to the 1 that rogues get (backstab) or warriors (kick), with potential bash/slam if using shield/large race.
you want to be using Flying Kick and Tail rake (Iksar) or dragon punch(?) if human.

Yes I did realize, but they all have their own skillup, so I was not sure which one to use. But thank you, now I know which ones to use and forget the others.

Multi keybind, homie. Open up a blank hotbar, bind every key on that hotbar to the same key, then throw your kick, strike, bash, etc. onto the hotbar and mash said key.
It won't work for AA strikes, but you can just create a macro with all your AA abilities in it and throw it into a hotkey.
