Ranger combos are generally just average on trash DPS. Good but not amazing. Where most of them shine is when Trueshot and other damage modifiers are used on bosses. Trueshot itself having a longer uptime than most discs. It’s why Ranger Bard Cleric was the meta, Divine Avatar + Trushot = dead anything.

I also have a RNG/BRD/SK. The DPS just kinda sucks. It's basically just filling up your mana bar and then dumping it on Denon's every 2 minutes or whatever.
The advantage is that it's braindead EZ and you can afk most bosses because the sustain is so insane.
The only thing I'd recommended is that it's actually more of a blue damage build because of the insane proc rate of RNG/archery. So, I'd get at least an Anatase Gem in your bow, along with building toward SD. Getting to 150ish HDex is good, but you should be pure SD after that for all the procs RNG generates. Proc song from Bard, Shroud of Undeath, ToTC procs, Call of Fire procs, Flaming Arrows procs, the RNG gloves from VT that stack with call of fire, etc.
I'm actually going to swap out the SK for WIZ too, once PoP drops, for even more spell damage/proc goodness. I want to do it now, but I fucking hate Luclin and I'm too lazy to regear him at this point. I'll just wait for PoP gear.

The problem is tha tif you build him with SP instead of the white dmg, hes gonna lose a lot of Hdex. But yeah I was thinking the same thing while getting AA, the dude is a proc machine. And yeah W Witless , he does bang if I hit all those discs and AA powers, but that shit lasts 2 min and I gotta wait for 15 to get them all back. And that shit sucks.
Hmm im gonnna think on this a while.... If I have to re-gear this dude it will either take a shit load of PP or a shit load of time.....
Maybe if I go halvsies, switch out a few items from Hdex to SP like rings, maybe earrings, he can end up with like 125Hdex and 350-400ish SP. Maybe that would work?

I think getting to the 150ish breakpoint is better, because Dex also = more procs.
Like I said though, it's a project I'm waiting until PoP for. Mostly because fuck Luclin and it's making me lazy/not care. But also because PoP gear has a lot more ALL stats on it, meaning you can get HDex AND spell damage - especially Bard gear, where they started giving them more INT on pieces, which is directly died to SD.

So what else is good for skipping in and killing bosses?
I’ve already got mag-bst-brd, which is meta. Not the fastest, not the slowest, but fading memories is great for skips and you can kill anything up to and including 4/4 Seru with it.
Now I’m AFK leveling AA on an SK/ROG/WIZ (with mag swapped in for wiz for AFKing.)
However is SK/ROG/WIZ even great for bossing? I thought it was but now I’m not sure. Or should I make it something else that’s close without swapping all the classes. To be honest I’m quite bored with the whole thing but I figure I’ll throw a few hours at PoP when it comes out and call it good.

So far I've played SK/Rog/Wiz, MAG/BST/NEC, MNK/BER/CLR, SK/BRD/Wiz, and RNG/BRD/CLR.
The best boss killer with good skip (monk FD with AA insta drops threat) is MNK/BER/CLR, but that godmode has a 40 min cooldown. They also get four 15 min cooldowns that aren't used in that big burn, so that helps overall clear speed and you can space them all out, to rotate the 15 min cooldowns, depending on the bosses. Outside of cooldowns or just using the 5 min, they can still do ok DPS.
The RNG/BRD/CLR is also a cooldown based boss killer, but my experience was that they were trash outside of cooldown. Would not recommend.
The SK/Rog/Wiz with best skip (stealth) and most consistent damage, over a zone with multiple bosses, that is the least reliant on cooldowns. Subbing Bard for Rogue was just to make gathering AoE mobs faster, but it has a bit more survivability, with the cost of DPS on bosses (AoE is the same or better). Edit: Seru is close to impossible due to his magic resistance though (or at least a huge pain in the ass with keeping adds up to tap).

You seem to be missing a few procs here. Shroud of death/undeath, flaming arrow rng AA at least.
Also don't see any bard song dmg? not using dots or DDD?

Coool. I’ll stick with moving this guy on up. I just started him the other day and I’m at 600 AA, probably get up to where my bonus AA stops around 1500 and then swap to wiz.

While I haven't tested it personally, it was stated earilier in the thread that clicking legos from inventory causes them to become no drop.
There was at least one set of items that work around that, but it doesn't help the mage epic cheese. The GM tradeskill items, in that if you click them from the ammo slot, they remained tradeable (the summoned bag has a turn in that gives you a perma lore 100% redux 30 slot bag in Baz).

I had all the SK procs up, so IDK why they didnt go off or whatever. I also had burning arrow up as well. But when it comes to bard, im a total newb, never played one and dont know what they do. I took some suggestions from Discord as to what AA and burns to use but thats about it.
Here is that first "boss" that I fought, longer fight so it might shed some more light... But in this fight I was using the 20/17 bow so dmg was a lot lower but way more frequent.

I can confirm clicking mage epic makes it bind to you. I just checked it a few days ago when I started that alt.
It does let you keep the pet even after the epic is handed off, but basically you need to spend 20 EoM to do it and hand it back to the owner.

Key of note, after PoP they want to add a dungeon finder. Talk to NPC which will put you in random group and a Random dungeon from ALL eras that will either be scaled to you or have your group scale to the dungeon. (they have not decided but could be both) When certain conditions are met and you "beat" the dungeon they are thinking special currency to buy shit or other crap, glamour stuff etc.
They have a full time dude making custom glamour stuff now.
They talked about the SSF HC thing. It sounds cool. There will be leader boards for bragging rights and such..
POT and rathe council will NOT be a part of the progression to unlock the next exp.
After the last EXP pack this server will not be done. There will be hand crafted stuff added. This will def not be the end for this server.
And some other random crap. Pretty interesting listen.

Is it that much of a pain to get that epic? I have done several on this server and they were pretty cake, especially when you can buy certain items that are a pain in the ass to grind.
Plus it breaks up the monotony of grinding AA or doing raids over and over,

I bought it. I’m just guessing it’s still kind of a pain because it sells for for 65-80k depending on day.
Whereas easier epics are selling for 15-50k.
It always was one of the more complex epics. I’ve heard people still bitching even on this server about getting that lev cloak bird to drop it, what’s his face in karana.

LOL its higher price because of the amount of pet cucks on this server, its literally more than half I would guess. Anything and everything having to do with that build is higher price.
