An FYI, you can get AA before max level. Not sure if it’s worth it and leveling seems to be fairly easily(playing 2 days so far and the first was remembering EQ lol). I didn’t realize this but may be worth it to bring out a handful of QoL utility AAs.
side note, anyone in the 35ish level range wanna group to xp? Remembering how boring it is solo. Or at least recommend a zone other than Lguk, I’m so sick of it there to the point where anything new is > efficiency at this point

Be sick of lguk st 30-40, the hole at 50 and then hate at 300+AA. At least in the lguk you get eggs you can sell.

Frog egg augments, the legendary ones sell for 10k or so.I’m 35 now and sick of itForgot how basic OG eq is.
what are the eggs? I barely loot anything other than coin to buy spells Or things I can equip that are better than what I have.

As a lvl 30 pally I get an AA every 3 minutes now in lguk. Plus eggs and decent vendor trash. I'm very, very sick of lguk but I can't bring myself to leave because I can't imagine a place I'll be able to solo grind AAs faster.
Also if anyone needs a legendary Guise or something else from Guk let me know. I rarely slow down to loot anymore, but I've got lots of stuff from when I was still looting.

Grinding AA in Guk at lvl 30 if your build can do it quickly with minimal aa investment (slay undead pally, way of steel monk etc.) is way more efficient than doing it at 50 since youre killing red cons very quickly. My pal/mnk/rog could clear from the greater ice bones to lord and have to wait for respawns after about 40 AA invested. I know Guk is boring but Hate gets real boring too as almost all combos can find a good use for 1200+ AA. The last char I made I had a friend doing sk/rog/shm and I was dru/shm/nec. Made the chars on Friday and by Sunday night we had about 900 AA from about 14 hours Guk grinding over the 3 days. He did dead side and I did live, there's no range on group exp here so splitting up and each grinding is more effective than killing stuff together.

Yeah, this is pretty much what I was thinking. I figured even if I leveled myself out of lguk I'd just move to PoH and do the same thing- but not as well, since I'd be dealing with more non-undead mobs. Good to have confirmation though.

The multiclass thing is blessing and curse. It basically turned this into eq solo, at least for now.
any idea how many expansions this will go? Eventually we’ll have to group, right? I’m not mad or anything but as others said above, solo owning mobs with zero effort in 2024 isn’t much fun after the first lol factor of it. I’d like to do more group content.

I do consider 3 a group. I am not bitching for EQ days of old where you must have 6 to do anything fun. It’s more just a comment of soloing 200AA in the same zone for 15 hours isn’t really fun anymore, times changed.
I am all good with reducing the avg count to do things to 3, reminds me of when they released mercenaries back in the day. maybe I’m just old or whatever but the novelty of 3 classes wears off quickly when I’m just soloing in guk for 2 days straight
aka: plz be my friend in game lol. Would love to have 2-3 buddies to continue with through expansions.

Touch of the cursed
Soul abrasion
Weapon affinity
Fury of magic
Destructive fury
Combat agility
Combat stability
That will get you started. Make sure you are using the anger poisons. Most of your damage is coming from poison and weapon procs so stack spell damage. Totc and soul abrasion go together for excellent self sustain. Have Anatomy maxed before doing hate and you can assassinate the 62 dark elfs.
