Toph apparently turned into Yoda

I'm also curious about the lack of Tenzin in the fighting clips...

I didn't realize about the Toph thing either until someone pointed it out. I kept closing the video after 2:08, lol.

I am really interested in where they take the plot. I like that the entire Korra series has been about proving that the Avatar is not invincible, and doesn't necessarily tip the tide in any ones favor. I am guessing the Earth Kingdom is going to rise up... for some reason.

It does seem to be mirroring the early 20th century social upheaval and empire building.

^ this

If the Earth Kingdom = China, then you basically have militaristic factions vying to control the country after the royal family falls/loses the power it once held.

Well as far as the state of the World. Its quite ripe for the Earth Kingdom to get all expansionist. The Air Nomads are in their infancy and are more focused on rebuilding their society. The Water Tribes just had a Civil War, and who knows about the Fire Nation?

The past seasons have demonstrated that the Earth Kingdom has been building up forces. Or at the very least hording them. So they're in a prime spot to do SOMETHING. I wonder what Toph has been doing all this time though.

All on top of four criminals killing off the Earth Queen singlehandedly and nearly bringing down the Air Nomads on their own. Chaos ensues!

So assuming the creators want to make another series after Korra ends and they either get the greenlight from Nick or the rumored Netflix pickup happens, then the next avatar would be coming from an Earthbending background? Fire before Aang --- Air (Aang) --- Water (Korra) --- Earth . Kind of neat that they could be thinking ahead with what looks like a super aggressive and fascist Earth kingdom in the previews.

They've stated that they want to take a few years off from the franchise to work on other things. I'm sure they'll come back to it, but it doesn't necessarily have to carry on with the timeline. They could go back to some other Avatar (they have 10,000 years worth of history built in) or they could jump forward or whatever. I just wouldn't expect anything out of this universe for awhile.

I think we should just count ourselves lucky we're getting Season 4. I suspect it would have been cancelled if it hadn't been mostly done already.

It'sso good, where's the rest ?!

I really hope Kuvira doesn't turn out to be the villain, even though she has it written all over her. Or at least so that she has more depth than just the generic dictator archetype.

$10 says Kuvira is the one controlling the bandits. Tell them to attack towns and then come by and "unite" the Earth kingdom.

Ya, Kuvira is probably the ones helping the bandits. Ninja bandit in a military aircraft? That has trained merc written all over it.

I'm disappointed that the shit with Kuvira is so transparent, i.e. she's obviously using the bandits to help her unite the Earth Kingdom states. Not to mention the fact that they always introduce the villain asap, it's been episode 1 for every book except the first, where I don't think Amon himself made an appearance until ep 2 or 3.
