In a remarkable post, Guardian editor Alan Rusbridger describes how the British government raided the Guardian's offices in order to destroy hard drives containing information provided by NSA leaker Edward Snowden. The British government had been pressuring the Guardian to return or destroy the Snowden documents. Rusbridger says he tried to explain that destroying hard drives would be pointless:

For someone (Snowden) who supposedly knows nothing according to Chaos, USAUK seems to be really going out of their way to keep him quiet.

Eh at least he's not NSA plant soysauce. But yeah chaos is not going to bite the hand that feeds him.
Yeah, the NSA doesn't feed me.

Pointing out how consistently wrong you are doesn't equate to anyone riding your dick. All it proves is that you're wrong.

Interesting read if just for what kinds of perspectives these type of people have.

JOINT FORCE QUARTERLY

From Sea Power to
Cyber Power
Learning from the Past to Craft a Strategy for the Future

Conclusion
While the United States cannot dictate the direction of the overall global economy, it can take steps to facilitate the growth of American private enterprise in cyberspace and thereby maintain or improve U.S. leadership in the key strategic points of this domain. Securing the ocean?s concentration points with sea power helped foster American economic dominance for decades. Similarly, purposefully selecting, prioritizing, and capitalizing on the strategic ?locations? of the electronic world could secure American influence in cyberspace. Like coastal defense, tactical security in cyberspace will emerge as a function of projecting cyber power at these key points, while also facilitating economic growth.Hard power will be secondary to soft power in cyberspace for the foreseeable future.

Strategies aimed at attracting and co-opting will be more successful than those attempting to control through force. This limits the role the military will play in cyberspace, but it does not invalidate the need for tailored government programs and policies. The United States must resist the current trend toward protectionism in an effort to maintain the status quo. Excessive attempts to control or exert hard power will likely do more harm than good. Like Mahan?s strategy for sea power, if the United States exerts soft power appropriately in these seven strategic points of cyberspace, it will be able to achieve both expansionism and security simultaneously. Through tailored fiscal policy, partnership with private enterprise, and prioritized research and development, the United States will continue to wield cyberspace power in the 21st century.

Yeah really no different than exploiting any other space. The main difference is, I guess, we don't have the same kind of advantage in cyberspace that we have in say sea power.

Coroner's Report Rules Michael Hastings' Death an Accident'

The report ruled the cause of Hastings' death to be "massive blunt force trauma consistent with a high speed front-end impact to the sole of the right foot and to the front of the torso" after he lost control of his Mercedes. According to interviews conducted by the coroner's department, family members had been attempting to get Hastings to enter detox after he began using drugs including DMT in the month prior to the accident. Traces of THC and methamphetamine were found in Hastings' blood, but are not believed to have been a factor in his death.

If Hastings had meth in his system and was using DMT, its very likely that he wasnt smoking it but rather taking MDMA. Street MDMA (pressed pills) is often cut with meth.

MDMA and Marijuana are both used to clinically treat PTSD.

it doesn't prove anything though, there's no reason to eliminate a possibility of a "Boston break job"

The biggest red flag is the lack of 'skid marks'. Although travelling at a speed well over 100 mph, he apparently didn't try to stop.

Or could he stop?

No skid marks is a big red flag for Gordon Duff, Senior Editor of Veterans Today. He states that the "murderous" game started with the CIA back in Boston. Car wrecks were mechanically staged using the "Boston Brakes" method, not always fatal but always a good way of communicating to someone your displeasure. Sending a college age daughter into a light pole, reporting her speedometer was stuck at 200 mph and fudging her blood test to show she was "double drunk" has been done countless times.
------

There is a gigantic assumption by both sides arguing for or against conspiracy that death had to be ensured, just a fucked up car crash would send the appropriate message to not destroy the governments"neccasary illusions".

Duff looked into the "Boston Brakes" case which involved the suicide in 2003 of Dr. David Kelly, a suicide.. now ruled a murder. Kelly was believed to have killed himself because he had been attacked in the press by Prime Minister Tony Blair. "Kelly", he says, "a prominent weapons scientist had claimed, as we all know is true today, that Tony Blair had falsified intelligence to force Britain into what Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has called 'the illegal invasion of Iraq.' With evidence finally, years later, piling in showing that Kelly's body had been moved and a suicide scene staged, pathologist records falsified and that Kelly was murdered with broad complicity by more than one government agency, things have started to take on a life of their own." That case is still under criminal investigation.

I'm going to go with "citation needed."

Oh i get it, you need a citation like you needed a citation for everything that Snowden said the day that story broke.

Gotcha.

Who said anything about the government admitting anything? This guy said it "has been done countless times." There should be plenty of investigations, arrest records, news reports, ANY kind of evidence to back him up. That is a pretty wild statement to make. According to what fanaskin linked, the CIA is just whacking people left and right, COUNTLESS bodies are piling up all over the US due to Nobama's black ops stormtroopers.

And of course we've gone from "of course the car was hacked, didn't you see those guys at Black Hat??" to this "Boston Brakes" shit in the span of a single news story debunking the bullshit about what a careful and studious driver he was, like an old grandma. Except when he was on meth, apparently. But that's probably just more psyops, the government brainwashed his family and used the Nazi time machine soon to be introduced in Breaking Bad to go back and fake this rehab story.

Plenty of investigations like the Hastings investigation where the LAPD and LAFD are under a gag order about the case? Yes I'm sure there were plenty.

P.S. hacking the car and Boston Brakes isnt mutually exclusive to each other. As a matter of fact, they are quite complementary.
